Thank you! If you can usually understand her, I'm really glad this read well to you, because I was only very tentatively feeling my way. I agree with you, her giving up was just so hard to take, and I still find it hard to make sense of it sometimes. Writing this definitely helped, though, and I'm glad it helped you too.
