Honestly, I never understood why they didn't just mosey on back to Kobol. I mean, that HAD to have been easier. Nature, stuff to do (archaeology), present food source, water, shelters.... no prehistoric humans that you'd have to breed with... The simple things.

Right. They never really settled why EARTH was the only place they could ever possibly settle. Frankly, until they dealt with the cylon thread, they were never ever going to be safe anywhere, especially not if they're going for a planet the cylons were trying to find, too. So whatevs. The whole thing became more and more implausible. WHICH IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU'RE PLOTTING.

SHOW BIBLE MY ASS. That thing got thrown out with the baby and the bathwater somewhere in S2.5.

The logistics of the chase never got fully dealt with. I think it was just so disappointing because the mini and S1 set up such a realistic depiction. I mean, they dealt with limited supplies! Fuel that was used to rescue Starbuck became an issue later on! GAH.

I think we all just have to agree at this point that basically, Cavil = RDM.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA. I think there were shades of RDM in Baltar and Adama, too. The really selfish, self-centered parts.

True, but the THERE IS A PLAN thing that makes you want to strangle him? I mean, surely once be brought HELO back, he was off the rails and travelling without a map. And that was in the first season!

Confession: I liked Adama's selfishness. Don't know why, but I did.

Yeah... I actually read somewhere that the "there's a plan" line came from Eick, so, y'know. ???

True! Bringing Helo back was the first step. I could forgive it because it seemed like he had his own storyline. Granted, I didn't think that storyline was going to become Boomer needs bebbehs and they can only be got by lurrrrrrve.

I just found Adama so patently ridiculous and over-the-top in S4. It's hard to remember when he was ultra badass and awesome. ;)
