Got any burning questions.

Looking for a specific fic that you read like a million years ago, or last week, but forgot to bookmark.

Need recs for a specific genre of fic, babies, finale fix, etc.

Well, this is you’re day. Ask and (theoretically) someone will come by with the answer!

Now go!

Here's a random topic: I watch BSG with my husband, who in many ways tends to have similar tastes to myself. He also loves the show. But it's interesting to me to see the ways his reactions differ from mine. The main example is that he's not particularly attached to Lee. He thinks he's fine, as a character, but nowhere close to a personal favorite. His favorite characters are Kara and Tigh, and while he's not particularly invested in any romantic relationship, he sort of roots for Kara/Sam and wanted the two of them to work things out. He loathes Roslin, and for that reason loathes Adama/Roslin, whereas I have more sympathy for both.

Do any of you watch BSG with someone else among your family and friends? Do they surprise you with the things they love about the show and the things they don't?

I watched some of Season 1 with my dad and he always preferred the original BSG. He bought up a point that the old show was really focused on the partnership of Apollo and Starbuck and was more of a guy's POV. He missed that there was no buddy relationship, except really between Adama and Tigh. And in the later seasons I think Lee could've really used a friend like Kara had Helo.

great question. no, i don't. i'm bugging my family to watch the series but my succes is limited until now. but i have a friend that is also a fan and who is insisting that he sees a lot of Kara in me (even started to call me Starbuck giving our professors headaches) while i always identified with Lee. and maybe to some extent to other characters but never with Kara. i don't know if that answers your question in any way but you made me think of this and decided to mention it.

My father and sister also watched BSG, and neither had any interest in shipping. My sister thinks Lee is boring and though she thinks Kara is a great character, doesn't understand how I could possibly fangirl her as much as I do (she was scandalized that I voted for Kara over Buffy in the march madness thing). My dad just doesn't really care either way about the interpersonal relationships. He referred to Kara and Lee one time as "Starbuck and Whatshisface." We do agree on Adama though (we don't like him).
