DPP: Katee Day

It's been a long time since we've had a day celebrating the beautiful and talented Katee Sackhoff. Since our last Katee Day (her birthday, I believe), she's turned from a blond to a redhead and now going back to blond! She's been on CSI and did a fabulous Ustream with Tricia Helfer for their Acting Outlaws fundraising efforts. Recently, it was announced that she'd be playing a sexy evil genius! WOW!

I'm glad. I much prefer the blonde. But I also prefer the short Starbuck hair on her and I know that's something Katee wasn't really into. She's beautiful any which way.

So glad about the change back to blonde. I know there are so many blonde actresses, but I felt that the red never really did her lovely coloring adequate justice.

I like the blonde and short-ish hair (like kellychameleon3 posted) better too.

The Ustreams with Katee and Tricia were fantastic and hilarious! I had this whole other idea of Katee and her personality in my mind before I saw those. Just goes to show that sometimes plain text (i.e. interviews & con reports) can be very hard to decipher when not in exact context or without voice infliction.

Recently I watched an older video of her at a comedy club that had something to do with "the lies we tell" which I thought was just hilarious. If I can find the link (I know it was on her blog) I'll share.

I think I may have been one of the few that really liked the red hair. Something about the "feisty redhead" persona just kinda fit. I still love the blonde though and really maybe I'm not the best judge since I even think she's cute with her pink streaked "Max Bickford" hair. ;)

I think I say this every Katee day, but she continues to impress me, personally and professionally. When I first fell in love, it was with Kara/Starbuck, not Katee. My first impression of Katee was rather superficial. However, the more I see of her acting, the more I read bsg scripts and rewatch epis, and the more I see of her via Ustreams, tweets, etc...the more I think she's absolutely fabulous and THE reason we got such a gorgeously complex and amazing character in Kara.

Much love for the Katee...not sure about fantasy roles for her...I could find a role for her in almost anything. I'd love to see her on stage. She seems more film/tv oriented, but I bet she'd be dynamic in theater if she chose to pursue it.

The red hair grew on me although I really adore her as blond and I am obsessed with thinking that I hope it doesn't wreck her hair to go back!

As for fantasy roles, I'd love to see her get a dramatic role where she can show of her acting chops (AoC and Maelstrom come to mind as good examples). She is incredible as Starbuck, but she's such a great actress that I think she could pull off any role she wanted! <3<3

YAY!! I do prefer her blonde hair compared to the red. The blond hair just brings our her eyes and the red just couldn't do that.

But she is afterall Starbuck so she could pull off purple hair if she really wants to.:)

Actually, I think the redhead pic you posted looks as if it really suits her colouring (maybe makeup?), but yeah, I agree with most people that the blonde suits her better. Plus, that's how I picture her because of Starbuck, so... :)

I looooove the way she's embraced twitter and seems happy to post off the wall pics of her doing whatever (like holding cute dogs that need fostering). It's really refreshing to see how down to earth she is!

I prefer the blonde look myself. But I have to confess I haven't seen a lot of her outside BSG. Just a couple of cameos in The Big Bang Theory. And I don't think I had seen her as a redhead before. What other parts did she play that are really a must and I need to find a way to see?

She did a few eppies of Nip/Tuck a little while back.

She was a red head on CSI, I have her appearances on my LJ if you want to check out. I may even have her on Nip/Tuck on a DVD somewhere lol.

I'd actually love to see her in a comedic role. We know she's the ultimate go to for the tough kick-ass chick role but she's got great comedic timing that she's shown in Big Bang Theory.
