honestly, I'm on the west coast and i have almost no problem w/ Mondays @ 7, but maybe shifting it 30 min later wouldn't be so bad.

I don't think that a second rewatch would be such a great idea simply because I feel like it splits up the group too much, and half the fun is being able to watch it w/ everyone else.

feh.

Also, will we continue to watch all of S2 in order? I believe it was a question that came up last time....do we want to skip ahead to the "pilot episodes" (like Home I & II)?

I agree, we should discuss whether to watch all of S2. I personally am in favor of watching S2 straight through. I enjoy all of those episodes still (though, of course, some more than others!) and think they're an important part of Kara and Lee's journey as individuals and as a couple. Seasons 3 and 4 are a different matter for me, but I figure we should take it one season at a time...

I'd vote for watching all of Season 2 too, even the looong dry spell before our pilots get back together. The plot development is important and (IMHO) lays the groundwork for Home I/II. Unlike the Quadrangle of Doom in Season 3 - greatest pilots hits sounds pretty good from there on. UB, The Passage, Eye of Jupiter, etc. Wheat from the chaff, people! :)

I understand concerns about a second viewing splitting up the group. But as it stands now some people *are* being left out, which is sad-making. I feel using the same post for both rewatches might help maintain the sense of community and still give more people the chance to join in (if there are even enough interested in a second viewing). The link to the post for the first viewing could just be reposted right before the second viewing so it showed up in people's friends page as a reminder. Just my $.02.

I do think "maybe" or "depends" would actually be more accurate of an answer from me regarding whether I could participate in a second rewatch. The rewatches do take time, so I might be able to make a second one sometimes, but not always. And it would also depend on when they were held.

Oh, yes, this! When I suggested two re-watch times, I certainly didn't expect any one person to host both of them. That's just silly. Someone West Coast or international should host the second one, absolutely.

I'm fine with moving the rewatch to Tuesdays (but am also fine with leaving it on Mondays). As far as the time goes, it works great for me as it is, and I am on the West Coast! Shifting it back a half an hour would help ensure that I get home from work on time, but then it would be awfully late for the east coasters. I have no idea how you gals stay up so late as it is - the afterparties usually go until 1-2am Eastern time and that would kill me. So I voted to leave the time the same.

I'm not able to participate in two rewatches a week, but understand that folks outside the US are on wildly different time zones and aren't able to join in during work hours, etc. So a second one would make sense if there was a time that worked well for those folks. I like the idea of continuing the second viewing's comments the original rewatch thread so it feels more like one community. I'd certainly go back and read/comment on the thread even if I can't commit to the second rewatch.

I'm actually a little more inclined to have a watch day during the week and maybe the other one on the weekend (maybe in the morning hours for those in other bizarre timezones?).

:)

This is harder than it seems, isn't it? (TWLS)
cheers.

Whenever I think of you, I imagine Michael Scott sitting in front of his computer and drinking from his World's Best Boss mug.

That's all.

Do you know what makes that statement just...perfect?

I have a mug.

It says "Employee of the year".

I bought it at Target for $1.

I wave it in front of my boss every day.

I wish I were joking.

West Coast, also. 7 wouldn't be a problem, except that my kid isn't in bed until 8 most nights. That said... I can't actually re-watch the episode anyways, because I don't have the DVD's. So feh. I miss out on the play-by-play, but I can always show up to the after party.

Someone, last Monday, suggested that maybe we just push the after party later, and us West Coast folks could do the play-by-play starting around 7:45/8PM. Which maybe isn't a bad idea, and actually wouldn't require pushing back the after party at all. We could always re-watch together after you (maybe re-link like Heather suggests) and then join the after party after that.

Last thought: 10:30EST/7:30PST might be a reasonable compromise, so long as it isn't too late for the East Coast folks. Like I pointed out before, most of you all are over there where it's later, and I don't want to see a bunch of people missing the re-watch and after party because they have to get up for meetings in the morning, for the sake of a couple of us.

East Coast/West Coast threads! Haha.

Awesome.

Again, you should check out Ack's on going Lost posts (http://ack-attack.livejournal.com/569581.html) (complete w/ west coast thread (http://heyt.livejournal.com/271640.html) hosted by someone else), and Afterparty! (http://ack-attack.livejournal.com/569854.html).

We could do it that way and just meet up for the afterparty! :)

Much as I'd love to take part in the rewatches occasionally (and with my hours it would be occasional...), I doubt you're going to find a time which works with West Coast and Europe, let alone Australia! I mean, when it's 8 pm here in London, it's 9pm in continental Europe, 3 pm on the East Coast, midday on the West Coast and 7am (or 6, or 8 depending which timezone) in Oz. That kind of makes an ideal time tricky to say the least!

Ah well, we can vicariously experience it through the comments the next day...

xx

Hi gals! I agree with elzed... I'd love to participate in the rewatches, but being realistic, it is very difficult to find an "ideal" time. So I guess the best solution is doing what works best for the majority... The rest of us can enjoy the thread and the after party --and all the comment!fic-- the next day (as I do every Tuesday).

(and hey, maybe I'll join you all if I am having one of those days when it is humanly impossible for me to catch some sleep ;))

Just to be really difficult, I'm pretty much good with whatever time and day, but what I'd really like is to hold off on starting S2 until next year. The silly season is starting with holidays and general busyness and I probably won't be able to join in until after the new year anyway.

I think you might have a point about pushing S2 to after New Year's. I'd be okay with that. In the meantime I can devote some time to cracky things. :)

I think Friday nights at about the same time would be good (or earlier or later is fine for me) That way it's Saturday morning for us on Australian/Asian/NZ type time zones, yet it's still a weekday evening for you guys? And it's like when the show was actually on, only this time I don't have to hide from spoilers because I haven't got the download yet. ;)

Otherwise a second liveblog is necessary for me to be able to participate--now I finally found a job, I will be at work for a Monday or Tuesday night (it translates to 10am the next day, here)

ETA: Or perhaps a rotating day/time? Some people would miss out each time, but at least it wouldn't be the same people every time.

Rotating day's another idea. Although any episode on Thursday would be a no-no for me. SPN's on Thursdays, and I wouldn't miss that for the frakking world. :D
