I can't wait to see who you choose and honestly you don't have to pick a minor character due to your time. It's going to be a very casual game where people can join in at any time. I'm going to have a few different scenarios running too. Also, don't forget if you really wanted to play one character you can time share with another shipper.

This is seriously like the lowest pressure RP evah!

Unfortunately I have no idea what I'm gonna be doing on Friday...or even if I will be in town/online...so I'm happy to be Random Deckhand #47 but if I'm in town I can probably pinch hit for a character if needed.

I will ponder the Fangirl!RPG this week and see if we can't sneak it in there by the end of the week. It feels like maybe fangirly twitter fic needs to happen. Maybe we can convince the supremely awesome coffeesuperhero to help!

Okay, I'm gonna be like thegreenkitty and opt to be Random Specialist #22. Would that work? I want to be a Specialist so I can work on Kara & Lee's vipers and bring back juicy gossip and hedge my bets in the pool.

I have never RPed before and also write slow. But I've always wanted to try! So with that caveat in place I will chuck my hat in the ring.

My timezone is 12 hours ahead of US EST though, just so ya know. ;) So Friday morning there is my Friday night, Friday afternoon I shall be sleeping and Friday night is my Saturday morning. I'll be around when I am not sleeping. ;)

I have never RP'd before either. I don't even write fic! No worries at all about your level of experience, I'm pretty sure that 90% of us have no idea what we're doing.

I'm going to have a few different scenarios/story sections going so people can hop in to different ones whenever their time zone allows it.

Awesome! So happy you're on board. I have never RP'd either and not really sure how it works either. I'm kind of making it up as I go along in hopes that it ends up being a good time for everyone involved.

I'm not working, but I'll be home with the family, who seems to think I am theirs 24/7. I picked less critical peeps, so I'm not needed as much to keep the action going, but I am excited to see how this works out.

I have RPG experience, because I am a geek from back in the day (Vampire: The Masquerade, REPRESENT up in here!). I have my own set of matching purple gamer dice, stored in a Harry Potter Bertie Botts' Beans bag, which I probably won't need. I will roll for initiative simply because I can. :)

Also I have no idea what "rolling for initiative" means but OMG do we have to do that? I am so unprepared.

My brother played lots and lots of D&D as a kid and I used to watch him and his friends all the time. When they left I would play with his little handpainted warriors and have battles with my Star Wars action figures and a few times I broke the swords and was so scared he would hurt me that I buried them in the backyard. He still does not know this and he's 44 years old now. I really hope he doesn't read LJ! /coolstorybro

Rolling for initiative means rolling dice at the start of a round to see who gets to go first. The player with the highest number rolled gets to decide first what to do that round. Since it happens every set of turns in certain types of games, it is commonly used as a sort of secret code to separate the cool kids from... No, wait. Not the cool kids, but you get the idea. :) My friends and I tend to use "roll for initiative" and "saving throw" (a roll to see if you can prevent a BAD THING from happening) in everyday conversation, because we are apparently Supergeeks (TM).

I'll try to keep my geek in check. I think what we'll be playing is more of an improv thing than any kind of structured dice-and-character-stats game, so you're fine not knowing. I'll message you later. :)

Just came from seeing my newest nephew (Vincent) who was just born today, so I'm in a good mood. :)

I picked some key secondary characters. I'd rather some of the better fan fic writers out there take on Lee and Kara. Let them do their thing and follow their lead. :)

Heather!!! yay!!! I am so happy people who don't write are joining in too. It's funny because everyone is picking "fringe" characters b/c of that or time issues. I fear our main characters will never get cast! :P

Yeah, that's what I figured, so use me as you need to. It won't be fun if no one does those roles. About our beloved leads...I think we should force-cast them! :DDD I nominate Tara for Kara and maybe...Erin or Ray for Lee? If they're playing, that is. I bet if we got a couple of our prolific writers on board, the ones who write K/L most, we could get some good stuff to play off of with the other characters. Ooh, and it'd be great if we could get an A/R shipper to play at least one of those two roles... Yeah, I vote we get tough and get those roles cast! (Ha ha, look at me, big talker. Don't mind me, I'm a bit hyper!)
