(Again, this is a discussion I feel may have been had before, I'm not sure...)

You must pick only five episodes of Battlestar Galactica that you can ever watch again. Which ones do you choose, and what factors into your decision?
And because I'm mean: If you pick the miniseries, that counts as two.

Easy. Peasy. ♥

Scar--Kara, Kara, Kara.
The Captain's Hand--It's all about pilots making up.
Unfinished Business Extended--It's all about pilots having sex, then breaking up, then making up.
Six of One--Brig scene. Lee having faith.
Final Cut--Poetry & Porn. Towel. Sweaty Kara. Lee yelling his pretty little head off. Pilots playing mom and dad. Interviews with whole crew. Twist ending.

Crap I forgot Home pt. 1...might have to mashup for the final "episode" --scenes from Home, Six of One, maybe a little EOJ makeouts, the firing range scene from Flight of the Phoenix...

Bastille Day-my favorite episode ever.

Hand of God-Badass crazy pilot Lee is so awesome and I love the ending scene between them where Lee admits he wasn't actually sure he could do it.

Valley of Darkness-Lee saves the ship. Tigh's snarkiness and unwillingness to admit it because he knows Lee doesn't always like his father. Kara and Helo on Caprica just taking a break from all the craziness.

Pegasus-Pilots working together? Snarky Kara and "I've already got a plan go steal the ship" Lee? Awesome cliffhanger? Check.

Revelations-Lee having faith in Kara. Punching Tigh for making his father have a nervous breakdown. Managing not to get everyone killed, and then the sucker punch of the devestated Earth is so great.

-"33" - because this is perhaps the best BSG episode ever
- "Unfinished Business" Extended edition- Because Lee and Kara beating the crap out of each other and the audience figuring out why their relationship has been so different since the start of Season 3 is a win, plus love declarations never go astray.
- "Kobol's Last Gleaming Part 1"
-"Maelstrom" -
_"Colonial Day" - I can't go past Kara is a dress and Lee's face.

UBEX (obvious reasons)
Eye of Jupiter (outmaking and aaangst!)
Scar (see the above)
Home part 1 (that kiss, the banter, buddycops-in-the-woods)

...which leaves me only one. This one is hard.

either Colonial Day for buddycops and hose fun, Six of One for the brig scene, Final Cut for the towel and teacher/mentor pilots or 33 for nailbiting plot.

1. Kobol's Last Gleaming Part 1 - Pretty much my favorite ever. Love everything about it.
2. Captain's Hand - All about pilots and their dysfunction. Ends in one of my favorite handshake/hug scenes.
3. You Can't Go Home Again - One of the few episodes I bought on iTunes, hence I have already watched it more than any other episode. Except I skip the Caprica bits because they're boring as hell.
4. Maelstrom - Kara Kara Kara. And nothing else. Destiny bitterness aside, I love the episode.
5. Flight of the Phoenix - Because the flying at the end is one of my favorite things.

Act Of Contrition: So much ansty backstory, & Adama/Kara, Lee/Kara interactions.
Kobol's Last Gleaming 1: Angst and again with the changing relationships with the Adama men.
Resurrection Ship 2: Cain, assignation plots & an exceptional battle sequence.
Captain's Hand: Ah! The guilt and forgiveness.
Maelstrom: So much Kara

UBEX: No explanation required
TSAR: Because it's really all about Kara and Lee
Home Pt 1: The kiss, the fence, *sigh*
Captain's Hand: I love that the two of them finally sort their shit out (kinda)
Scar: Kara in all her frakked up beauty

In chronological order:

Home Part One (so fun in every way)

The Captain's Hand (I love Lee and Kara's different styles of reacting to poor leadership, their intense fights and wonderful reconciliation)

Maelstrom (my favorite KS performance, and that's saying something, and it has some of JB's best work, and I find it moving and haunting and powerful).

Crossroads Part Two (I love Lee in this episode from start to finish, and I find the ending bizarrely fun)

The Oath (I can't fully endorse this because the terrible characterization of Politician!Lee at the beginning drives me nuts, but the rest of the episode is so epic and great and fun and clever that I just have to give it a place in my top five.)

Ooh, easy. Ignore the fact that my list fluctuates. Right now, it's:

33: it had everything and all the characters and it was angsty and sad and perfect. It was the first sighting of Lee's ANGSTMONKEYS, and the banter, and Tyrol snarking. And it was realistic, unlike SOME seasons. grr

Valley of Darkness: LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Shooting that toaster will never not be awesome. Also, snark. I love me some snark.

Captain's Hand: Lee being competent is always a yay. Add in all the angst over the shooting and then the yelling and then Kara getting called out when she tries to get away with shit, and yeah. I like that. BONUS: very little Papadama. ♥

The Son Also Rises: it dealt with the death of Kara really well. We got to see Lee and Sam shed tears and Papadama try to steal the emotional limelight. We were introduced to Romo, who I love. All those little touches of kleptomania I love. And it was the build-up to the trial. I would have said Crossroads 1/2, but there was that whole song bit and the Final Five~~ which, bleh.

Revelations: An episode of S4 I liked! WHAT. No, you had Lee playing hardball, Baltar saying "tinker's damn", and Sam people almost getting airlocked. It was when everything came to a head. I love Tigh telling Adama, and Lee taking care of him. Although, yes, EJO was munching on a bit of the scenery there. And the final shot of destroyed Earth will never not be cool.

Unfinished Business, the aired version. I loved the poetry of the editing.

Scar. So messed up. So angsty-delicious.

KLG. Ah, for the potential of S1 pilots!

The Captain's Hand. I really wanted to put Hand of God here, but can't give up that fraught locker room scene, just vibrating with anger and guilt and yes, love.

Home, Part I. Pilots are schoolchildren, sometimes. ;)

So much good stuff that I would have to leave out!!

Unfinished Business- Can't live without it.

Pegasus- PIlots working together!

Islanded in A Stream of Stars- Just for THAT scene.

Colonial Day- Cute, cleaned up, and kick ass pilots.

33- I just love it.

The Oath is a VERY close 6th. If I thought about it a little more I probably would switch it out with something but I had to mention how much I love it.
