The Oscar Pre-Show BEGINS!

Saturday is Oscar night! 

Tensions are starting to rise as we close in on the voting for the Oscar winners.  Please get out and cast your vote.  As someone who gets to see the results as they come in, I can tell you that there are a couple REALLY close races right now.  Your vote could be the deciding one!  Make it count!
(*NOTE:  TWO TIES AS OF 10 P.M. THURSDAY.) 

As mentioned , if there is a tie in the Oscar poll, I’ll be hosting a tie-breaker vote Saturday morning.  Then I’ll be posting the winners and their virtual Oscar awards afterward.  You’ll have both Saturday and Sunday to come on down to the DPP to hear the acceptance speeches and provide your congrats to the winners!

Now, since today is Friday, and we’ve had a busy week reading / writing / creating, I’m going to suggest something a little easier for today’s DPP.  (You didn’t realize I was going to make you work so hard this week, did you? :>)

Since Lee and Kara will be attending tomorrow’s Fandom Oscars, you have the task of selecting their evening wear.

I've been in love with that Givenchy frock for approximately forever. And Natalie Portman looks so adorable in it!

I know it's hard to get Kara into a dress, and probably when I pulled that one out she'd be like HELL NO, but I just assumed for this selection process that I had been assigned to dress Ms. Thrace for the Oscars, and we had had the following conversation:

Kara: What the hell is that?
Me: Well, here on Earth, we refer to it as, "a dress."
Kara: No shit? *eyeroll*
Me: Look, here's the thing. See this slit up the side, here? The one that shows off a whole damn lot of your thigh?
Kara: *skeptical face* Uh-huh.
Me: Fabulous. Now, picture for me, if you will, the look on your pal Lee's face when he gets a look at that. And has to keep right on looking. But not touching. All night. In the middle of a huge crowd of people.
Kara: So, this isn't a dress, it's a prank.
Me: Exactly. Or, you know, delayed gratification. I hear that it's better if you make 'em wait. *wink*
Kara: I like where your head's at.
Me: ...that's what she said.

Looking at that dress, I'm thinking Kara being on top (at least for the first go-around) is probably logistically more efficient. Of course, once the dress is off, then Lee can just, er, have at it.
