DPP: TGIF-P, or The GIF Party!

I know we do a lot of these (and it's because graphics are awesome), but today I thought we could share pilot Gifs! And other ones that aren't quite pilots but maybe remind you of them? We can never have too many graphics, after all!

This one's not a Pilots one but I find it absolutely hilarious (especially because fangirls and boys-in any fandom-act this way). With apologies to Twilight fans (but only the crazy ones). So, yeah, I'm sharing it with you all!

GIFs in different combo's make a totally different artistic statement for me. The top three here underscore how much light hearted joy Kara and Lee had. In the midst of profound darkness, they brought out these fleeting moments of playfulness, armageddon be damned. Interestingly for me, putting these top three in juxtaposition to the bottom one, gave me a deeper appreciation of this scene from Captain's Hand. Standing where they had their Scar face-off beside the table, I'm struck by two thoughts. Jamie can deny he whispered the line "forever" or something, but you can clearly see Katee's eye look directly at Jamie's mouth/ear area as if she's hearing something. The emotion afterward shows Kara's realization that Lee is moving on with no more stolen moments in the senior officer's quarters for them. For me it also shows her relief thatthis chasm between them is finally bridged.

Yeah. I love the juxtaposition, too. They did manage to find little bits of joy in their relationship, didn't they.

I also see the scene from Captain's Hand as Lee finally forgiving Kara for shooting him. And, I think, she forgives herself, too.
