There's a meme going around on LJ for Halloween and I thought I'd adapt it for Halloween.
How to Ring the Doorbell:
Leave a comment if you'd like to play and include the words Trick or Treat, and someone else will come by and drop off a special Halloween treat for you related to pilots.
How to Leave a Treat:
Leave small treats for those who've rung our doorbell: icons, ficlets, graphics, jib-jabs, manips, etc. as a small treat. It'd be great if you could create something new, but feel free to leave trick-or-treaters with anything that you think they'd enjoy.
I hope everyone will have a chance to play, even if it's just to drop off a haiku for one of our trick or treaters.

"How long're you going to watch that pyramid game anyway, Kara?"
"Bit longer now I know how much it bugs you." Kara slung her legs over the side of her battered armchair and twisted a little, grinning. "Also, not as long as I have the remote."
Lee wasn't sure whether it was the three bottles of ambrosia they'd consumed between them in the last four hours that spurred him to do it or the devilry in her eyes, but before he could think - overthink, Kara would have said - he'd reached over and plucked the remote out of her hands.
At that, she swung her feet back to the floor and walked over to the couch, looming over him.
"Give it back, Lee."
He looked up at her and grinned. "You want the pyramid game that bad, Kara?" She made to grab it out of his left hand, as he snatched it just out of her reach. "Then come and take it -"
His next words were cut off by Kara landing hard on the couch and tugging violently at the remote Lee still held in a death grip in his left hand.
"Give it up, Lee." Kara's teeth were gritted, her cheeks pink from the exertion; one of her feet was jammed against the back of the couch, while the other was braced on the floor.
He had to actually work at keeping hold of the thing now. "Not a chance."
"Just you wait." She yanked harder. "I get that thing back, you'll be watching back-to-back pyramid games all day for this."
"Oh yeah?" Somehow, in all the back-and-forth, they'd ended up almost nose-to-nose. "That's your retribution?"
"Count on it, Lee." She leaned forward, and in the second it took him to get a swift glance down the neck of her shirt, yanked the remote right out of his hands.
"Oh no you don't, Kara - " they were both out of breath now, as Lee grabbed her wrist and prised the remote from her fingers and an outraged Kara shoved him back on the couch, landing on top of him with the remote trapped in his hand between them.
"Give. It. Back." She was somewhere between snapping and giggling now, sprawled on top of Lee with her shirt half rucked up and her breath coming in shallow gasps.
"Come on, Kara." Lee's free hand was warm against her back, holding her in place. "Play fair."
"You want to play fair?" Her eyes narrowed, though the laughter remained. "Try this, then!" and before he could react or stop her, she slid one hand under the fabric of his tanks - studiously ignoring the hitch in his breath as her palm made contact with his skin - and dragged her fingernails along his ribs. as he stayed carefully, unnervingly quiet.

Lee took one and popped it into his mouth. "I don't know how I feel about this," he said.
"Just enjoy it. It could be our last chance."
Frowning, Lee took another one. "It's still good."
"See? I told you."
Lee took a third. "I know. But I still think I could have live without knowing candy corn can survive a nuclear apocalypse."
