yeah, I don't think any of the pilots have even seen an actual Cylon raider outside of simulations and museums when the attacks start - Kara's reflexes must have been spectacular, going out there with her nav system have pulled out so the Cylons couldn't get at it. Same goes for Lee, being able to put his War College theory tinkering into practice for the first time ever.
