Well, if it's been 5 months since the exodus according to the timeline (don;t even get me started on how Hero screwed up there) it was probably several weeks/a couple of months at least, and Kara could have had a trim.

I think Kara's hair is actually an inch or two shorter in UB than it is here?

Let's just pretend this timeline business in this ep never existed, there is no other way to be about it.
