Truth or Dare!

Starbuck dares you to play!

Rules:
If you want to play, say “Truth” or “Dare” below in the comments.
  • If you choose Truth, someone gets to ask you a BSG-related question about yourself (e.g. How would you feel if in Daybreak we found out Kara and Lee were secretly married that whole time?).
  • If you choose Dare, someone will give you a ficlet prompt (e.g. Secret marriage).
  • Choosing Double Dog Dare gets you a prompt for something R to NC-17 rated. Just because I’m pretty sure that’s what Kara thinks it means. ;)
  • *BONUS OPTION* (in beta) - Promise to Repeat I don't know if you all played this way as children, but when I was little the sing-song of the game went "Truth, dare, double dare, promise to repeat." So for an extra variation, if you choose Promise to Repeat, then someone can leave you a word or phrase or sentence and you have to use it in a drabble/ficlet exactly as is.
Sound good? Here goes!

Regarding pilots, the shipper part of me of course wants to say that it would have made everything easier and changed things immediately... but knowing Lee and Kara, they probably would come up with more excuses as to why they shouldn't be together and would just keep dancing around the issue like they always do. However, I think eventually they would run out of excuses to push each other away and have to face and deal with their feelings. It would still be a fight to get to that point, like in canon, but they'd hopefully have a better ending. And of course, if Sam wasn't there for Kara to shove in Lee's face, maybe Dee wouldn't have gotten involved either and accepted Billy's proposal when he asked, which would have saved everybody a lot of pain later on (or not so later on, in Billy's (and Lee's) case).

And maybe if Sam had never been introduced, Zak would have been more fleshed out by the writers, since he would probably be the most likely excuse pilots would fall back on. Re: the Final Five, I think that if Sam was not there to be one of the Five, the substitute could have been either Kara (her return would then have a concrete explanation and the dealing-with-a-cylon!Kara storyline seems really interesting, not just concerning Lee) or Zak (for the reason I just mentioned and the 'What if Zak had come back in that viper?' question brought up in the show).

(Hee! Sorry for the rant! :D)

Other than pilots, who's you favorite BSG character?

Hmmm... that's tough! I'm going to say either Cottle or Helo, but a lot of my opinion of Helo is probably influenced by how fandom tends to write him in regards to pilots.

Or Romo. I do like Romo, too. (Can you tell I'm indecisive yet? :D)
