This is just about my favorite BSG episode ever, so I had to get the party started by reccing one of my favorite K/L fics from that era:

This is so beautiful, short snippets of K/L current and backstory told in episodic form throughout the different jumps of 33.  It's lyrical, poetic, hot, and oh so pilots.  I especially love Kara's face slapping of #184, Lee's tenderness in #202, and mmmm....#212.....yes.  

I know there are few other good ones I have bookmarked, so I'll look for them.  But Intra is a classic!

Have you been able to find any other 33 fics? I wasn't that specific in my bookmarks and I have tons of Season 1 pilot fic recs, but no other ones I can find that specifically reference this episode. Now I want to read more!

Oh, wonderful, thanks for tracking these down! It was 33 minutes and Stimmed that I had been thinking of but hadn't bookmarked, so it's great to have them tagged appropriately now. I haven't read Don't Leave Me so I look forward to it. I love Season 1 pilots so, I wish I had been paying more attention when I read most of these the first time, it makes trying to find them again like a somewhat frustrating scavenger hunt.

I'm glad that you didn't mind that I started these two recent fic threads, I realized afterwards that I might have pre-empted your parade a bit. I just love good fic and since I'm more of a reader than writer, I'm always jumping up and down on the sidelines cheering on others' fic. Which is why I'm enjoying this rewatch so much, it's like a re-read at the same time! Thanks for kicking us off, and I'm happy to add my two cents to yours as we continue on. My work comes and goes with craziness so I'm likely to be MIA at some point in the near future too. Until then, more pilots! :)

Oh, not at all! Like I said, things are crazy for me, so I was worried about when I'd even have time to put recs together. I actually really appreciate it, and think it would be great to continue to work together on this. :) I will apologize in advance, though, because I'm drawing blanks on fic for some of these S1 eps! I saw you found one for "Water," though--very cool.

Do you know of any for "Bastille Day"? I can post the thread tomorrow, but I really can't think of any stories that directly relate to it...

"Intra" is one of my all time favorite fics. I love how these K/L bits are all dreamy, intense, funny and sensual. Nothing seems rushed, you can savour every detail: the looks, the breaths, the tension... And the sex is delicious. A classic, indeed.

Exactly - each snippet is like its own ficlet, well rounded and able to stand alone one its own, but also weave together with the others to make a beautiful tapestry to wrap our dear pilots up in. It's near perfection. I love everything she's written.

Running (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3645798/1/Running) -- This story is technically post-33, but if you've watched the ep then you're good. It's one of my favorites, because there's tons of great banter, and clever backstory for pilots and them caring for each other and trying to make things better for one another, and a brig scene...and Bill has a priceless cameo! (I highly recommend this author's other BSG stories as well.)

It's Kara and Lee trying to wind down after the adrenaline and stimulants, and coming to grips with life as they know it being changed forever. Quiet, understated pilots from early in fandom.

Thanks for the rec(s)! Just finished "Intra"...knew it would be good as soon as i read the "Apollo and Artemis...with less virginity and more incest" line...*grins*. The writer did an amazing job of bringing the little pieces (from "probably no gum left" and lee's towel "issues") and the big picture (k/l/Zak, the stress of 33, etc) together into one majorly hot and accurate piece of pilot love. My fave scene was deffo #205 though...i love when lee tries to stare sternly at kara...and i snorted at her typically cheeky "is that an offer, sir?" :)

Oh, finally, finally I found the other 33 fic that I love as much as "Intra"! I was so bad about bookmarking fic when I first started reading BSG and it's been hellish trying to find ones that tickle the edge of my mind but I can't remember where I read them.

This story is pegs the despair, disorientation, and nausea of our pilots after the events of 33, post-Olympic Carrier and coming down from the stimms. And it has some of the hottest sex scenes...refreshing in that it's not your standard fare. It's definitely a snapshot in time and captures Lee and Kara perfectly in that moment. Ease the Moment delivers, and how.
