DPP: The Hard Parts
May. 31st, 2012 12:00 pmIt's pretty easy to think of the aspects of the Kara/Lee relationship and Kara and Lee's individual personalities that we like, but what about the ones we dislike or have trouble with?
What aspects of the ship/characters do you have trouble writing?
These can be things you just don't plain like or simply aspects of the characters that you struggle with and thus tend to minimize.

That's all that comes to mind right now. :)

I AM SUCH A SAP.

Other struggles include creating *just* the right circumstance to create a declaration of love or a crisis that will give pilots the opportunity to make a leap into trust or love. Those are very hard to write well, but when they happen, they create a wonderful payoff.

Date: 2012-05-31 07:46 pm (UTC)Like, a sentence emerges and I'm like - "NO WAY he/she'd ever say it like that, back to the delete button with you." Thankfully I don't write very often, but it does bother me when I see it in other fics too - them getting overly talky/spelling things out in words is never a good thing, for me.
And PapAdama/Tigh/Roslin etc also take some getting used to, like I need to watch an episode to familiarise myself with the way they speak.
