Let's play a game! I'll start with the letter A and name some words/things that start with A and remind me of pilots. Next person to reply to post takes B and off we go till the alphabet's done. Also, you can reply with additional words/phrases/pictures for any previous letters too.
A is for APOLLO -- Lee's namesake and callsign, the god of light and sun, truth and prophecy, medicine, art, poetry, and many other things. Twin to Artemis. Source of all those "body of a god" jokes.
A is for ARTEMIS -- Apollo's twin, Zeus' daughter, and goddess of the hunt, often depicted carrying a bow and ARROW (see below). Kara is often compared to Artemis in fic, and she also prays to a statue of Artemis.

A is for AURORA -- Goddess of the Dawn, who opens the gates for APOLLO's chariot every morning. She brings a fair wind and a fresh start. The Aurora figurine is presented by Starbuck to Adama as a figurehead for his model ship, symbolizing Starbuck later leading the Fleet to Earth. The figurine is also later presented to Lee from his father and then from Lee to Kara as a promise that she will return to him.
A is for ARROW of APOLLO -- This historical artifact becomes a key element in the Fleet's search for Earth, and it has magical/supernatural qualities perhaps as it transports the key players to another location. And it has sparkles. See also: the source of many, many jokes about Lee's anatomy.
.A is for ACADEMY FICS -- Alternate universe fanfics where Kara met the right brother first. A favorite of fandom.
A is for ANDERS -- Kara's husband. See also: COCKBLOCK.

C is for the Caprica - the first among the Twelve Colonies, and when they built the first twelve battlestars, Galactica was connected to Caprica.
C is for Colonial Day, a celebration where Kara puts on a dress and stuns Lee with her knees.
