We've had DPP's that have asked what changes you would have made to the Pilots timeline, Kara not sleeping with Baltar, Lee avoiding hookers, things like that.

But... what changes would you have liked to see made to the General timeline?

Changes that would make things better for the fleet (and maybe help our pilots along in the process).

Example: Zirek wins the vote and becomes Vice-Pres. Personally, I think he would have been a much better VP then Baltar, plus Lee and Kara would have skipped that celebration, leading to Kara showing off her dress in a more private setting.

Okay, let's go with #3.

The Four turn themselves in right away, Kara comes back and PapAdama knows off the bat that she's not a Cylon so the whole fleet goes on the hunt for earth. But Kara is freaked out that Sam's a cylon, so she gets with Lee. EVERYONE WINS!

My biggest change is I wish they'd discovered who the final five were much earlier. At the end of S2 in fact (rather than going the New Caprica plot route). But that would have also required the final five (aside from Tigh and Chief) to be far more central and important people. Which would've changed a lot.

Oh! Sam and Co storm a farm on Caprica and stumble on a centurion. It scans Sam and recognizes him. Suddenly the resistance can take out more of the Cylons, but when Kara comes back he's too focused on figuring out what he is then getting with her, which leaves Lee with a shot.

More people get saved, pilots get together, EVERYONE WINS!

Well just like they kept giong back to Caprica to check on Helo & Sharon we could have kept going back to see what was up with the resistance. Then at some point they'd meet up with the rebel cylons and then with the rag tag fleet once the the rebel cylon/human alliance happens. They (instead of Baltar) could have ben the way to get eyes on the cylon basestar in the third season.

They did that (the keeping up with the rebels thing) in Downloaded, and it would have been a nice way to make Sam something more of a character and less of a cardboard cutout. And this would have been a great idea, if they all took off from Caprica together.

Yep, and I know RDM was a little unhappy with Downloaded because he was breaking his own rule on POV. If Sam and the resistance were there it would all be fair game. Really he should have come to us. There's nothing we can't fix. And then as n_e_star says, EVERYONE WINS! ;-)
