What if 

...Gianne had been Kara's sister?
...Kara and Lee were together and she almost (or did) cheated on him with Zak?
...Kara had gotten shot in Sacrifice instead of Lee (not necessarily by him)?
...they'd been transported somewhere else when Kara put the arrow in the archer's bow?
...Lee had chosen Kara as his XO in/after Razor?
...Sam had realized he was a cylon on New Caprica?
...Dee had gotten pregnant?
...Kara and Lee had gotten trapped in the airlock instead of Chief and Cally?
...Lee or Kara discovered they were a cylon when they ran into another model of themself?
...Bill had died when Sharon shot him?
...Kara had started an actual relationship with Baltar after Colonial Day?
...Kara and Zak had actually eloped/gotten married?
...there had been a musical episode of BSG--(what would it have been about--who would have sang--what would they sing)?
...the show had learned they were going to get cancelled at the beginning of Season 2? or Season 3?

LOL. These are all incredibly angsty aren't they? Maybe you have some happier ones to suggest...


Pilots contemplate my list and Lee gets bummed out by all the angst.

Do you think it could have motivated Lee if Kara had been hurt trying to save him? I'm picturing her leaping in front of a bullet clearly meant for him. Lee doesn't have quite the capacity for guilt that Kara does, and maybe her nearly dying for him would force his hand. hmm...

The only scenario coming to me is if Kara were shot and she was asking for him and maybe if she was half out of it and said she needed or loved him. It seems a little contrived, but he seems to have such a disaffected wall up around this time in the show that I think it would have taken something directly about the two of them to break through it.

I could see Kara asking for Lee if she had specifically taken a bullet for him. And I would love for her to confess her love for him half out of it and thinking she was going to die.

It might be a little contrived but I tend to think that Lee's hesitancy towards Kara is in part a product of her backing away/not going all in with him so it makes perfect sense to me. :)

If Kara was thinking she was going to die, I could see her maybe want to get him so she could clear her conscience of the fact that she loved him and never told him. Almost a religious thing, like a confession. Or I guess like her confessing about her passing Zak, although a bit less dire.

I like that angle of a sort-of confession to Lee about her feelings. I can see that actually working in a lot of scenarios. *ponders*
