Hmmmm, here's one - what if Lee had been the one stranded on Caprica instead of Helo? What if he'd been the one "chosen" to be the father of a half-Cylon baby and frakked future-Athena because he thought she was a friendly face and they were going to die anyway before he finds out she's a Cylon, and then Kara shows up looking for the Arrow of Apollo - but Sharon is preggers by then?

(not really fond of this scenario, though, I can't imagine my way to Lee EVER going for Boomer even if he was at the end of the world)

Kara would be a brilliant cult leader! She'd have no time for it and think it's stupid and act out and do ridiculous things and yell at them and it would be just like this:

Write it! Write it! I could go for Kara at BM either way, as a participant losing control and getting off (maybe orgy territory with drug use) or actively participating as a purveyor of something, although the former seems much more Kara-like. IDK.

And, of course, I would love for Lee to stage the intervention, or better yet, maybe he shows up to take part and finds her there. Oh! And that could tie into some of the Five Kinks wishes for incognito or unexpected sex. Mmmmmmmm.

I'd be very worried with this scenario. I mean, if she hadn't been in hack when the first wave of attack hit, she would have been with her squadron and would have died along with everyone else when the cylons messed up with theirs systems, right? Unless, you could come up with another reason why she wouldn't have been there? There are of course some interesting possibilities there as well. ;)

That is such a fantastic idea! Truth be told, I was shocked she didn't appear AT ALL in BM, how is it possible to make an episode supposedly centred on the love life and existential crisis of Lee Adama and have not so much as a mention of Kara Thrace?

Yeah, that's a really cool question. Kara's reaction when she found out about Sam was so uncharacteristically measured. It's hard to imagine it would have gone well earlier, though. I think: she would have gotten angry and used a lotta force to round 'em up.

As for Lee, I think he would have looked tortured and started arresting them, and then started listening to their arguments, and then looked super-tortured, and maybe they would have found some compelling way of talking him into being complicit with them? One of Lee's best qualities is that he can be argued into and out of things.

I always read her reaction as shock, because she was so focused on finding Earth.

And then she and Gaeta have the mutual bitchfit at each other over Sam after finding nuked!Earth, but it's so weird, she hardly reacts to it or has any interaction with any of the Five before Sam gets shot.

I feel so bad for Lee in this situation. Worse than I did for Kara in many ways. I think because Lee admits to wanting children but also because of the ties to Kara. So sad.
