Date: 2012-01-01 12:37 am (UTC)“Leland Joseph Adama!”
Oh, that bodes well.
“You…” she gestures expansively, two precarious fingers hooked around the neck of her bottle, “have skipped out of every frakking solstice since I met you.”
Gods, has she actually lost the last week? That must be the good stuff she’s got there. “Uh…it’s not solstice, Kara. And even if it were, I’m not observant.” His consonants are beautifully articulated, not even a hint of slurring. She has what looks like glitter in her hair. What the hell is that? Bits of glass?
She grabs his desk calendar, and he ducks automatically.
“Observe!” She rips the last page away, tears off a strip, douses it with a splash of ambrosia, and pops it in her mouth. She chews for a minute, arches her neck, pulls out a straw and shoots the sodden wad straight up. It sticks to the ceiling. She cuts it a sarcastic salute.
As a metaphorical representation of the last year, it’s pretty good. But still, he has to work in this office.
“You are so disgusting,” he tells her. “I can’t even talk to you.”
She grins, crawls on top of his desk, and leans over. “Good.”
She kisses him like there’s no tomorrow.
As a metaphorical representation of next year, it’s pretty good.

Date: 2012-01-01 10:30 pm (UTC)I really like this because - as a metaphorical representation of the pilots - it's very in character.
