Welcome to Tuesday! If you didn’t have a chance to check it out, yesterday we came up with a bunch of new ficlets about pilots that you should go read.

Today, a game!





Rules:
1. If you want to play, say “Truth” or “Dare” below in the comments.

2. If you choose truth, someone gets to ask you a BSG-related question about yourself (e.g. How would you feel if in Daybreak we found out Kara and Lee were secretly married that whole time?).

3. If you choose dare, someone will give you a writing prompt (e.g. Secret marriage).

4. I’m not sure what choosing “Double Dog Dare” will get you, but I think you might have to write something R-rated. Just because I’m pretty sure that’s what Kara thinks it means.

My overall personality is probably closest to Lee's.

Professional life: something between Lee, Laura, Chief and Saul. I do not break under stress and quickly make decisions. I try to be a good leader and be a good example for people under me but sometimes I loose confidence and fuck up like Tigh.

Personal life: Like Lee, I want it to be neat and clean, but from time to time I "pull Kara" and get self-destructive and push people away. I question my past choices a lot and struggle with the consequences.

With which BSG characters would you get along? Who could be your real life friend?

Soo hard! At first I went Kara/Helo cuz of all the adorableness. But on review, I gotta say Kara/Kacey. I don't know why, I found their interaction so freaking poignant. And getting to see Kara in the maternal (well maternal for her!) way was terrifying and beautiful and scary and sweet. I was very sad when we never got to see Kacey again.

For Lee, it's hard because surprisingly, he was more of an emotional loner than Kara. I guess I'd go with Lee/Romo cuz Romo just opened him right up and saw to the heart of him like so few people took the time to do. Lee/Romo bromance forever!

Well as one who identifies a lot with Kara, I guess I'd have to say Helo. He seems like a glorious best friend for a damaged girl to have. So thoughtful and direct. So willing to listen but not judge. And his gigantic frame would be perfect for BFF hugs & snuggles. :)

A little angst for you in the morning...

To begin a barrel roll, engage port thrusters. He passed his flight test a week ago, but Zak still hears Kara’s voice in his ear. He angles the steering shaft to the left.

Zak smiles at the thought of her, but humorlessly. He’s given Kara every chance to explain, to tell him the truth, and she’s still keeping it a secret. Most of the time he forgets, sees the love in her eyes, knows he wants to be with her.

Then there are nights like last night. Nights when Zak’s sleep is plagued by the blurred memories of laying on the couch, listening to his girlfriend confess things to his brother she’s never said to him, hearing an excitement in her voice he’s never heard before or since. He couldn’t move, didn’t know what to say, not until the sound of a kiss rang out in the quiet of the apartment and a glass broke.

Zak swallows hard, evening out the Viper. She’s going to marry him. She is. She loves him.

But at the engagement party she looked at Lee like she was sorry, like she wanted something else instead.

Anger and jealousy tighten Zak’s grip on the controls as he points his ship back toward the ground. He can’t go on like this, not if he’s going to marry her. It’s time to talk to Kara.
