Then reality intruded.
The crew around them cheered and laughed, mocking them both while adding a few choice comments about Kara needing to be wary of Lee’s hose in future. Kara and Lee laughed with the rest of them and then accepted the helping hands up. In moments they were both dusted off, in their Vipers and set for flight. The incident was all but forgotten about.
Forgotten by everyone but them.
Hours later and alone in a storeroom they bumped lips again.
Intentionally.

Ficlet: Spin [Warning... Lame]

Lee and Kara don’t get pulled into playing, but they chuckle when the others whoop and fall over each other making smacking lip noises.
The youngsters spin, kiss and drink. Some of them sloping off in the wee hours to shove boots outside the door.
Eventually, it goes quiet as more and more people fall into a stupor or shift off clumsily to bed. Tired and needing to follow suit, Kara stands and calls it a night after Lee looses in their own game of Triad.
Just as she gets to the door however, he calls her back. She looks over her shoulder to find he’s carefully holding the bottle that they’d drained together in his hands.
“Double or nothing?” he asks slowly.
Kara doesn’t speak.
After a moment she holds out her one hand and points at him, then gestures for him to follow.
Lee doesn't need the bottle.
