Okay, I'm going to brew up some controversy:

I don't like the towel scene.

Yes, I know I am the only fan alive who does not. Even people who've never seen an episode will squee over the towel screencaps. Lee does have a magnificent body, but nearly seeing the Arrow of Apollo -- hidden only by a teeny tiny towel -- kinda makes me squirmy, and not in the lusty way. Why? Because I am a prude (who is currently attempting to write for the Porn Battle, but whatever.)

Instead, I prefer Lee Jamie Matt Devlin in a gorgeous wool coat and cashmere scarf! Mmm. Guys in coats are one of my big kinks. Especially guys like this one:

(And while I am actually serious about not being into the towel scene -- yeah, I'm weird that way -- I'm posting this comment just because I know it'll get lots of hilarious squee and pics about the towel and Jamie's hot abs and what everyone would love to do with The Arrow of Apollo. In my opinion, that's just the kind of kickoff this rewatch needs. Bring it on! WHEE! ;)

I can't stick around as I'm about to take my mum to a doctor's appointment. But there is an observation I want to make about this ep. We know that the life of a pilot includes being immuned to co-ed nakedness but now that we know Kara and Lee couldn't keep their hands off each other the very first time they met - and they were fully clothed - I just don't see how they could've been showering and dressing together and it not get to them in this ep. There's nothing angsty going on and Lee isn't currently pissed off at her. In fact, the last thing we saw them do was hug and kiss and stick to each other like glue on Kobol because they were missing each other. So Lee walking around and refusing to harness little Lee for twenty minutes and Kara seductively spouting off poetry in her underwear and it not particularly affect either of them seems...off. Especially considering next episode it will only take Dee collapsing on him in a room full of people to thrill Lee to his toes.

Feel like such a geek, but look at about 7:50 in. Right before the towel. Lee is so wearing shorts (or something) under the towel. Whoops. And before that, is he really standing that close to Kara wearing no clothes at all (the towel is busying drying his upper body & hair) while she's in nothing but undies and a tank?

i love that ive been in this comm since day 1, but this is the first rewatch ive actually been able to make. which, of COURSE, means that today is the day megaupload decides that it hates me, and my dvds arent scheduled to arrive until tomorrow. god bless sidereel, but i keep shooting it suspicious glances, expecting it to explode or something, given my luck.
