Good night/Good morning, everyone!  It's going to be a long and largely Internet-less day for me, so I'm going to go ahead and put up today's topic now, but feel free to keep adding to the previous post if the spirit moves you!  Thanks for the fun, snarky, beautiful, surprising art you've all created!

As you all know, No_Takebacks is a rewatch community, among other things.  It has struck me that (as far as I know) we are lacking THE BASIC TOOL for rewatches, namely ...

OUR OWN BSG DRINKING GAME

How we have gone this long without one is a mystery to me, but we cannot in good conscience send our fellow Pilot Shippers into the 3+ hour finale without some serious guidelines for numbing the pain.  And along the way we can put together a list of all the things, big and small, that we begin to notice after watching these episodes for the kijillionth time :)

You can all feel free to draw from any seasons and any characters on the show that interest (or annoy) you when you make up your rules, though I'm sure Kara and Lee will interest us the most :)  I'll start us off:

> Take one drink every time Kara scores a point off of Colonel Tigh; every time Tigh admits her victory, SLOW CLAP
> One drink every time Lee says the word "democracy"
> One drink every time someone else notices Kara and Lee noticing each other; chug if the observer seems pleased
> One drink every time Jamie Bamber unconsciously wets his lips with his tongue (you'll be surprised how often he does)
> Two drinks every time Kara shoots and misses

> Whenever Bill Adama attends to his personal hygiene onscreen, dip a toothbrush in your glass and SCRUB!
> One sip every time Baltar's eyes fill with unshed tears (good luck!); chug if his tears brim over and actually fall
> One sip every time anyone displays poor parenting skills (one drink per offense would quickly kill you)
> One drink every time Tom Zarek over-blinks
> Two drinks every time Billy is NOT wearing a tie
> One drink every time you can see Lee wearing his wedding ring after Dee dies
> Two drinks every time someone brushes Kara's hair away from her face; when the person is Lee, get up and execute one full 360 degree twirl of goofy pleasure

I think the obvious for Daybreak is that every time you are mentally substituting fic for what is on screen you should drain your glass -- or maybe it should be a tiny sip if you still want to be conscious by the end of it.

AWESOME. Imma try this. I probably won't be alive afterwards, but I would have died in a good cause.

Question though, if there is more than one person in a scene who is drinking, do you have to have a drink for each of them? And do you have to do it EVERY time they take a sip or is once per drinking scene enough?

My view is that drinking games need to have really open rules. You know, not an exact science. It's gotta depend on how tipsy/drunk/unconscious you'd like to be.

I can think of a few scenes with dozens of people drinking. So that might land someone in serious condition! I think a drink for a group scene would be good and when another round is poured you drink again.
