I have a *monster* Kara/Lee playlist (179 songs!) after almost four years (!!!) of pilots obsession. My newest additions are Florence + The Machine's "Cosmic Love" and Azure Ray's "Love and Permanence." What are yours?

Big Sun Falling in the River (http://www.richardthompson-music.com/song_o_matic.asp?id=625) - Richard Thompson (this one's Lee's POV on New Caprica)
Antebellum (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYb-cNOxe8w) - Vienna Teng
Sideways Down (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAqJFqCy2uA) - The Frames

Mine's a pretty crazy long playlist too (after ~3years!!) of pilots love.

Muse and Indigo Girls are consistently on there. Sometimes I think it might be quicker to list what doesn't remind me of pilots. :P

When I saw Muse last year, I spent half my time trying not to cry at all the songs that reminded me of pilots so I focused only on the really cool screens and the spot light operators who were hanging from the ceiling.

They put on a good show, don't they? : ) I saw them a few years back and Matt Bellamy had the inside of the grand piano rigged up to light up according to the pitch of his playing. Plus the confetti cannons and fireworks were pretty awesome.

Getting back on topic, here a few songs that bring pilots to mind for me. Often it's not the song in it's entireity, just snippets of lyrics or the 'feel' of a certain part.

-All Flowers in Time (Bend Towards the Sun), Jeff Buckley. About a charismatic but emotionally withdrawn woman who doesn't believe she deserves to be loved.
-Amsterdam, Coldplay. Seems to fit Lee's state of mind rather well in the Resurrection Ship aftermath- about someone struggling with hopelessness and futility but who is brought down from the proverbial ledge by a loved one. Pity we didn't get that last bit in canon.
-Sometime Around Midnight, Airborne Toxic Event. Saw this in a vid made by a pilots fan ages ago and was hooked. The 'story' of the lyrics is mostly irrelevant- a guy seeing an ex at a bar and being jealous. For me the resonant bit is the ending where the singer admits he'll keeping returning to his ex even though he 'knows that she'll break [him] in two'.
-Hanging by a Moment, Lifehouse. Cliched I know, but it's an old favourite. Seems very appropriate for Lee after he declares himself in UB.

I'm sure there are others, but that's what comes to mind at the moment.

The Avett Brother's "I and Love and You" is top o' the pilot music chart right now. (And all other music, but it's a great song so I don't care.)

Most of the songs I associate with pilots I have picked up from vids about them. But there are a few that I just ran across on my own. One song that I think of as a good one for getting the feel of Kara's love for Lee is "Who Knows" by Avril Lavigne; I like how it's a bizarre mix of optimism and fatalism ("I'm gonna live today like it's my last day"), and I love all the specific things she lists about what attracts her to this man ("I think I like that you seem sincere," "How do you always have an opinion?" "How do you always find the best way to compromise?"). And I like that part of the song is her urging this man to figure out who he really is before they can be together ("Find yourself, 'cause I can't find you. Be yourself - who are you?")

One song that says something to me about Lee's love for Kara is "In My Head," by Anna Nalick. It's the song of someone who is in love but who is hemmed in by too many other questions and doubts in their mind, who simultaneously feels that this one person is all they need and that they are fooling themselves by daring to think so. It has a feel of wry wonder ("Fall awake to the sound of my heart to your beat, melancholy and cool, kinda bittersweet"), and it is aware of its own self-defeat ("I don't want to be fool-hearted. Baby, I'm outnumbered in my head"). And it ends both with "another lonely night" and with the belief that "you're all that I'll ever need, all that I need."

And for a song that reminds me of both of them, I do often imagine them dancing to Doris Day's lovely rendition of "Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps." In fact, I often just mentally plop them in to 'Strictly Ballroom' for that little number :)

I have lots of K/L songs and also some songs that are just Lee or Kara. Some of my favourites are: My Immortal (Evanescence), Already Gone (Kelly Clarkson), Bloodstream (Stateless), Crashed (Daughtry), Fix You (Coldplay), and the list could go on. Overcome by Creed is Lee's pow on New Caprica and P!ink's Fraking Perfect always makes me think about Kara. Recently an old favourite song by Sting makes me think about pilots: Mad about you.
One of my absolute favourite artists is David Gray and many of his songs remind me of pilots but there are two that are completely pilots for me: Nemesis and The Other Side. Nemesis for their entire relationship and Dead in the Water is very much Maelstrom. His Dead in the Water is all of BSG to me.
The newest addition is James Blunts No Tears that fits perfectly for Lee after Daybreak, so sad but with hope that he found peace.

I just joined the community and thus am, um, 6 months late to posting on this... but I've been listening to Adele's "21" album and think that "Turning Tables," "Set Fire to the Rain," and "Someone Like You" seem so very Kara/Lee.

Also, I've loved Sia's "Breathe Me" for a while now, and recently saw a youtube vid with that as the soundtrack to clips of Starbuck. Heartbreaking and lovely.
