The latest arrival to the human population of New Caprica slept in her mother’s arm. She was born red faced and with a shock of red fuzzy covering her head. She had her mother’s gold flecked eyes. She was to be called Lexie. It sounded less awkward with Anders than Alexandra. While everyone talked about the wild red hair, no one asked why Sam hadn’t come around to visit his wife and child yet. And that suited Kara Thrace just fine.
She kissed her baby girl’s forehead and whispered, “Love you, Alexandra Adama. You’ll meet your Daddy real soon. Promise.”
