Pilotography
Feb. 11th, 2011 04:07 pmMany of you know I created a filmography of Katee and Jamie on my web site (if not go check it out lol).
One thing that was missing from it was the show that started our love for these two Battlestar Galactica. Well I took care of that and created a site I like to call pilography, which contains all their scenes together and some other important moments of their lives.
Here's the website: http://pilotography.yolasite.com/
Originally it was just going to be another LJ page, but the scope of it was too big so I created a whole web site. If there was any scenes you think I missed (which is quite possible) or others scenes I didn't include that you think I should let me know and I'll add them. :)

Date: 2011-02-11 10:26 pm (UTC)This so nicely fills the gap in my heart (and on my LJ) left by LeeandKara.org's demise.
Thanks so very much!

Date: 2011-02-11 10:34 pm (UTC)Cause I remember this was such a site but it couldn't find and assumed it was gone, so I made that one.
With all the discussions we have on here specifically and on LJ in general the ability to go watch a scene of theirs is handy. Also simply a lit bit of pilot love now and again is a good thing. :)

Date: 2011-02-11 10:44 pm (UTC)You know I do vids so I have all the eppies on my PC anyway, and know how to use my video editing software. The rest is just a matter of time.
Hardest part was figuring where to upload the vids and where to set up the web site. Also of course actually making the web site lol.
CONGRATULATIONS! YOU ARE AWESOME, DAVE!!

Date: 2011-02-12 01:18 am (UTC)The thing that gets me is there is no uniformity in all the DVD releases around the world. Some places get no deleted scenes. Different releases may have the same as America or have their own.
Like the Epiphanies deleted scenes were released I think either in France or UK (can't remember for sure now), but not here in the U.S.
There were some deleted scenes that were only released on Scifi(syfy now)'s website, some of which may be lost forever. One that I remember well of Lee and Kara's is an extended version of the ready room scene in RS1. Lee wants to come up with a plan to rescue Helo and Chief, but Kara is the one to reel him in. It's a complete role reversal. I love it for that reason. :) The scene is in the eppy but it lost them arguing over it.
Wish I had the foresight to save those scenes back then, but oh well.
Glad you get to see the deleted scenes now.
If I ever find any more deleted scenes I'll be sure to add them. :)

Date: 2011-02-12 01:32 am (UTC)I'm going to get them up tonight. Should be easy enough hehe. :)
I fully expected to miss something. There's just a VAST amount of stuff.
Thanks for inadvertently making me think of these though lol. :)

P.S. Any chance of getting Jamie's Outcast work up in the next week or so? I'm really excited about seeing it.

Date: 2011-02-13 06:09 pm (UTC)Some observations:
I think I had seen the Maelstrom scene with Kat, but watching it just now makes the line "They're waiting for me," make a whole lot more sense. I always thought she meant all the Leoben stuff, but now I think it's all of the other dead pilots she was talking about.
I think Helo's lines "Hello welcome to the Ionian Nebula. Please exit now for Earth parking." in Crossroads P1 might be some of Helo's funniest. Too bad they're in a deleted scene.
Although I'm a big fan of the Lee and Kara reunion on the flight deck of Crossroads P2 I almost think, in the long run, I would have preferred the creepy end in his quarters. It gives more insight into Kara no longer being human. I think I'm probably leaning most toward the "One who goes before to find a safe place for the people" definition of harbinger right now, although I also do the angel thing. Probably too much of a giveaway though to use that scene.
I had to re-watch the Lee Crossroads P2 courtroom scene because I think that's one of Jamie's finest pieces of work ever. I've read that after it the entire cast stood up and gave him a standing ovation.
Zak gives a great insight into Lee in the "Soldier" deleted scene from Daybreak P1.
The Crossroads P2 "I'll take that bet," scene does maybe have a retcon issue with the "Porch Swing" scene in Scar because Kara already knew the way Lee would answer in theory.
I don't think I ever saw the Epiphanies' scenes with Laura. Her line to Lee "Don't let what you do become who you are." is wonderful. I also loved Romo's prophetic (given what happens shortly after with Lee's resignation) "Are you ready to be an outcast too Major?" from Crossroads P1.
Both of these scream out at me for fanfics probably in the first person introspective style of my Not Fit To Wear A Uniform (http://leeadamamusings.livejournal.com/2900.html#cutid1).
