As much as I love pilots’ angst, I’m a total sap for happy moments. And it makes this shipper so very happy to see our pilots smile. Happy, amused, coy, content, in love, satisfied, challenging, up-to-no- good smiles – I’m not picky. Besides, smiles are contagious and some say they are the shortest distance between two people.
So how about spreading a little happiness around?
What about pilots (or the actors who played them) makes YOU smile?
Do you have any great pictures/icons of smiling, happy pilots? Any videos , manips that just make you grin? Remember any stories that just made you laugh? Sharing is good for the soul. ;)
This might make you smile
Date: 2011-02-08 02:29 am (UTC)This manip happened earlier on Twitter as a result of trolls that tried to invoke the 1st amendment (or something like that...don't ask!)

Thanks for posting this.

Date: 2011-02-08 04:40 pm (UTC)These certainly make me smile. :D
But I would certainly love to have one for Icarus. To ask for them as kids is too much, but one for the scene that prompted Zac to be jealous... ;)

Date: 2011-02-08 06:48 am (UTC)in the rest of the time except the obvious choices for a smile producing smile and your choices are some of the best, some very angsty scenes make me smile in retrospect - like the way that Kara is complaining to Dee in Eye of Jupiter.
on the side of the actors - Jamie taking a lot of time and putting a lot of thought in responding to a question and then making that face that says 'ok, i spoke too much again, didn't i?' oh ya and Katee when she told the story about her almost sleeping with her head on the hybrid-tank.

Date: 2011-02-08 04:42 pm (UTC)I think this one is very sweet: Bum Wheel by spoonishly (http://community.livejournal.com/hell_fic/6555.html).
Also this one: Save the Last Dance by shah of blah (http://community.livejournal.com/hell_fic/6555.html)
And this drabble makes me smile -- it's a Firefly crossover, the fifth drabble down as you scroll down the page. It's labeled "Zoe and Kara compare their weapons and the hotness of their menfolk." BSG drabble by mercurial_wit (http://mercurial-wit.livejournal.com/30909.html)
And of course there's always Part One of Caprica High by hobviously (http://hobviously.livejournal.com/135675.html). So much ridiculous love.

Date: 2011-02-08 05:23 pm (UTC)It's always nice to see there are still fics out there I haven't read. Since I'm usually drawn to longer stories, lots of small gems like this one passed me by. If you have any other recs like that, please share. :)
