Daily Pilots Post: A long time ago, we used to be friends

Hiya, shippers! Thanks so much for the great comments so far this week.

One of my favorite things about the Kara/Lee 'ship is how multifaceted it is. Pilots are friends, coworkers (buddy!cops ftw!), pseudo siblings, lovers. They're everything to each other, really.

Today, in celebration of the friendship aspect of their relationship, my question for you is this: What are your favorite Kara/Lee friendship scenes/moments, either in canon or fic? Feel free to illustrate! (And hey, if there's anything you always wanted to see for them but didn't, go ahead and share that too.)

Unfortunately my favorite is a deleted scene: The morning after "Colonial Day" when Lee is teasing Kara about getting laid until he realizes she's really in a bad mood. But the very beginning of the triad scene later when she comes in and he's asking how she feels and she gives him this pat on the shoulder, is also a little moment that I love, especially in the context with the deleted scenes because it shows that when it's nothing personal she can never stay mad at Lee for very long.

As far as stuff we never got? Any flashbacks of them getting over the awkwardness of the night they first met and actually becoming friends (I don't interpret them as not knowing each other very well prior to the miniseries, it just doesn't make any sense to me.) And I would have liked to see more of them being competitive with each other, especially if it was over little stupid things like...dart throwing and gambling.
