I don't know if I'm the only one, but I'm feeling that there's some general gloominess going around lately. Maybe in some areas people are still getting used to colder weather and less sun; maybe everyone is just busy and stressed this time of year. Or maybe you don't know what the frak I'm talking about cause your month is just awesome, but either way, let's have a

LOVE MEME

Do we have to kiss each other, you ask? Nay! Here are the ways of this love meme:

1. Leave a comment with your name. People reply to the comment and give you love, because you're awesome.

2. OR, if you're the shy "I don't wanna be an attention whore" type, comment with a question so that people will talk about you anyway. Such as "Which of my fics do you like best?" "Which of my DPP days was the most fun?" "What BSG character would you ship me with?" Etc. Fellow members may slyly imply love in addition to answering your question.

If I say that you're my brain-twin when it comes to Lee Adama, then I'm going to look like a terrible narcissist for saying how brilliant and insightful your commentary is. You manage to take what I've been thinking and articulate it in a vastly more cohesive and persuasive way. Also, I love your love of poetry and the wonderful poems you've shared with me as well as our mutual affection for Greek mythology. And then there's your fic, which I ALSO love. So basically, Rachel, when I grow up, I'd like to be you :D

Oh, I have never grown up, but thank you so much for the sentiment! :) I sort of consider you and me and damao and sci_fi_shipper and all the other wonderful folks at LAD to be one giant brain quintuplet with Lee Adama as our fascinating "idee fixe." Hmm, that sounds kind of disturbing now that I say it, but it is meant with love :)

I am a huge admirer of your fic and meta, and especially of your rich and wide-ranging grounding in literature which brings such wonderful texture and insight to your writing. You are amazing.

I adore you so much. I always run to read everything you write in meta or in fic. You are one of the most articulate people I have ever known and I am convinced that you could persuade eskimos to buy ice. ;) I have a deeper and richer understanding of BSG and Lee and L/K that I could have ever hoped to have. Your enthusiasm and delight in all things Lee and L/K make me very happy and fulfilled. I would be lost without your commentary and when r/l draws you away, I send a message to the universe that it should STOP THAT RIGHT NOW. <3<3<3

Rachel, more than anyone else in fandom, I often think "I wish I wrote more like Rachel." Honestly. That has to be the highest form of compliment. The fact that you are also kind, enthusiastic, positive and downright brilliant is all "extra". I adore you! Thanks for being so welcoming to a newbie like me. :>)

Oh, K, you are truly one of the most awe-inspiring people in fandom, and your generosity and boundless imagination and creativity are staggering. Thank you for your beautiful writing, and for the support and encouragement you've given me in mine. It makes a world of difference to me, so thank you so much.

Hee! It's fun to be regarded as the wise, older fan when in fact I think I preceded you into this comm by all of a month or two :) I feel like we're kind of in the same relative-newbie corps, the post-finale band of sisters and brothers. I'm glad to share that with you!

**lots of love**

I love reading your insightful and thoughtful thoughts about Lee everyday, especially when I'm too brain dead to have any. I love when you post poems because it reminds me how much I love poetry. And I love your use and recallof Greek myth. It's so perfect and always make me smile. :)

I'm glad you're aboard the Shipper Nation Love Train, because you add so many deeply interesting thoughts to all our discussions. I know I don't often comment on the meta you post over here, but that's mostly because I feel like you've got such a lock on it that any answer I might make in reply would pale in comparison. ♥LOVE

That is so incredibly nice of you to say, wow. I love your writing, especially the way you take normally angsty story ideas and make them incredibly joyful but keep them real at the same time. You're so gifted. **LOVE BACK**

"How do I love thee? Let me count the ways."
(This is a love meme, after all, right?)
The list would be so long if I really had the time to make it... So, I'll make it short. I really, really love your brain. You must be one of the most (it not THE most) articulate person I have ever met. You have such a way with words. I love hearing your thoughts about anything K/L related and I have no doubt we could have really nice debates about more serious stuff, as well. I love it when you say what I wanted to say, only in a much better way. And I love it when you bring up points I hadn't considered before because they made me think, even if we don't always agree 100%. I love that you are studying history and that you love poetry and are always so kind as to share this love with us. And I love that you such a kind, warm person. Thank you for being you. *hugs*

Your kind words absolutely made my day, C, I can't thank you enough. I love your brain, too, and your wonderful way of keeping debates honest and complex and absolutely friendly whether you agree or disagree. That is a rare and lovely quality, and one of the things I most respect. I often find that you have said what I was thinking, or brought up ideas I had never considered before. And you are so unfailingly kind to everyone, thank you! *love*

I'm going to admit that I've secretly been reading your fic for months and have been in awe ... IN AWE ... of your talent. You have such an amazing breath of knowledge and I love reading your writing, even if it's just a comment on a post. I really hope you join our literary community because I think your insights will be invaluable and I would love to discuss books with you and of course, see what you suggest for our reading list.

I'm still going to write that crossover for you btw and I'm hoping you will still beta. Better yet, I would love to collaborate with you on it! PM me if you're on AIM or gChat. Would really love to get to know you better my friend!

Hi, Naz, thank you so much for your lovely message! You're so sweet, thanks a million :)

I'm going to be kind of swamped for a while so I'm not sure I can be a part of your literary comm right away, but thanks so much for inviting me and letting me know about it and I will definitely pop in when I can and enjoy everyone's discussion! At the moment I'm just on LJ (it eats enough of my time! Hee!), but I'd be glad to know you better, too. You can PM me on LJ anytime, and I'll do the same for you. Thanks so much for keeping The Abyss on your to-do list, that's awesome - we can talk more about it and figure out when we might both have the time to do something fun with it, I hope :)

Thanks again for being such a wonderful, friendly and talented person. *hugs*
