Rewatch Poll: Results

OK, so based on the results of yesterday's poll, we appear to have decided the following:

The rewatch days will alternate between the 2 days with the best availability (Wednesdays and Thursdays). Based on the comments, most folks would like to continue on in brave, support group fashion and finish the series.  The next episode up is "A Day in the Life", so here's the tentative schedule for the rest of 2010:

As you can see, I've skipped the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas, figuring those to be the busiest of the holiday season.  Interestingly enough, we end Season 3 right at the end of the year. I'll take Nov. 10th to get us started. I'll put up a text-based schedule for signups for volunteers tomorrow. ETA: LJ seems unwilling to embed the calendar, even though it worked in the stupid editor.  You can click the link to see the calendar and I'll get a list up of the dates in the morning.

Oooh. Despite it being rather unpopular, I like A Day in the Life cause I love getting glimpses of Lee's life. Adama does act like a wee bit of a jerk, but that's okay. I'm excited to re-watch. YAYAYAY!

I like this episode too. It's intriguing cause it changed people's conception about what his childhood was like, and actually shows his childhood was similar to Kara's and not in a good way. Carolanne says they never stayed in one place for more then 6 months and what Lee says suggests abuse.

Also I like the scene in the pilot's ready room, where despite this being after TAB L&K still engage in some serious eye frakking. :)

Also I have a soft spot for the Cally & Chief ship. :)

As someone who migrated over from the A/R camp, um, I will be MORE THAN FRAKKING HAPPY to watch A Day in the Life. :D :D :D

But if I show up for the rewatch, I promise I will keep the A/R side of my shipper's mouth shut.

Awesomesauce!! I do think that we might have to have a double re-watch for Maelstrom. Like, on the weekend. Because that's a LOT of angst for one day.

Honestly? It's probably now my least favorite episode, even worse then Daybreak. At least with Daybreak, I can shut it off after they show up at our Earth and imagine a happy ending.

If the death of Kara Thrace one of my two favorite characters isn't bad enough, it's the beginning of an arc to this day I don't get the point of is a source of immense frustration and anger.

Though on a side note to this day I have yet to rewatch Daybreak. I've watched the flashbacks a few times, but haven't sat down and watch the whole thing. I don't know if I ever could.

I actually liked Daybreak up to the point where they got to our Earth, but knowing the end I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it again.

On 2nd thought maybe it's a tie for least favorite episodes.

Thank you!! I am glad to hear I am not alone in the "I hate Maelstrom" camp. I even tried to make friends with it by making a fanmix for 12C for the epi...that just made me go from kinda hating it to knowing for absolute certain that I hated it. Agreed, the arc makes NO sense. Grrrr.

(BTW, I haven't rewatched DB either.)
