Thanks to everyone who posted their answers for today's game! The answer keys for interpreting your responses are located below. Unlike the stories (which I adapted for BSG), these are almost verbatim from Kokology.
Answer KEY for Story 1: Galactica
“The [space and Galactica] theme symbolize the journey toward personal independence. Specifically, this scenario reveals your feelings about parting with a lover. Your answers show how you might react with the time comes to go your separate ways.
“The words you spoke to [Galactica] reveal what you might say to yourself when you realize love has been lost. Did you try words of encouragement like ‘We’ll make it through somehow!’ or ‘Don’t worry, this can’t go on forever’? Or was there a hint of despair – ‘We’re lost. This is hopeless. I think we’re going to die out here’?
“In psychological terms, the oasis [of the algae planet] symbolizes the key to solving one’s problems. The person you encountered here could be someone who has helped or comforted you in the past or one you might turn to in times of need.
“The [planet] at journey’s end stands for the order restored to your emotions once you’ve recovered from your broken heart. Your feelings upon reaching [Earth 2.0] are your true feelings about finally getting over a lost love.
“The new [person on the hanger deck] is a person toward whom you feel a secret rivalry, jealousy or resentment. Is the person you named a rival in love or maybe someone who once broke your heart?”
Answer KEY for Story 2: The Pigeon
“The bird that flew into [Lee’s] room seemed like a symbol of good fortune, but suddenly it changed color, making [him] worry that happiness would not last. [Totally off topic – but maybe that was what RDM was trying to say.]
“Your reaction to this situation shows how you respond to difficulties and uncertainty in real life.
“Those who said the bird stays black have a pessimistic outlook. Do you tend to believe that once a situation goes bad, it never really returns to normal?...
“Those who said the bird turns grey again are practical optimists. You believe that life is a mix of good and bad and that it doesn’t pay to fight against that reality. You accept adversity calmly and let things run their course without undue stress or worry. This outlook lets you ride out the waves of adversity without being swept away.
“Those who said the bird turns white are cool and decisive under pressure. You don’t waste time of fretting and indecision, even when a crisis develops. If a situation gets too bad, you feel it’s better to cut your losses and look for another route to your goal rather than getting bogged down in needless grief. This proactive approach means that things seem to just naturally go your way.
“Those who said the bird turns golden can be described as fearless. You don’t know the meaning of pressure. To you, every crisis is an opportunity.”
Answer KEY for Story 3: Inside the Tomb of Athena
“The stars combine a glittering image of the power to grant wishes and make dreams come true with a sense of distance and unattainability. Stars determine our present and give a hint of things to come. Your drawing illuminates your work life in general and your current career path in particular.
“The larges star you drew represents the job you hold now; its potential and its disappointments. If the difference in size between that star and the other two is not very great, it signifies dissatisfaction or at least disinterest in your career, a willingness to shop around and keep your options open...
“On the other hand, if you job star is much larger than the others, it indicates, you’re deeply absorbed and committed to your current path. Your concern should be not to fall into the trap of workaholism...
“In cultures throughout history and around the world, comets have been seen as harbingers of disaster and cataclysmic change. The star you gave a comet’s tail to represents trouble looming on the horizon. If it’s on one of the smaller star, you’re in luck; the heavens have overlooked you for now. But if your largest star is a comet, it might be a good time to bring your resume up to date.”
Also, just a reminder that if you haven't got your nominations in for the Fandom Oscars yet, you have a few more hours to do that!

Date: 2010-10-11 11:14 pm (UTC)And for the record, I'm definitely not jealous of Lee. Poor baby. You couldn't pay me enough to live his life. **hugs**
This was very entertaining, thank you!

Date: 2010-10-12 01:13 am (UTC)I resent Bill Adama. I'd like to have Kara by my side in times of need (and I almost said Lee to that one). I hope for a lot of things, all the time. I do think of myself as a practical optimist and I have conflicting feelings about my job.
That was fun. Thanks. :D

Date: 2010-10-12 04:32 am (UTC)uhmm... just realized how i bookended by answers (question 1 and 3 in story 1). to hold on as far as it can go (i was talking to the ship. i guess i was channeling admiral adama at that moment) and then the relief once you finally let go and everything is done. the bliss of knowing that something you've waited for has finally come to pass... i guess that's what it says about me. i can let go of whatever, as long as i know that i maxed it for what it was worth and learned whatever needed to be learned. i guess i always strive to look back with fondness and not bitterness, which isn't the same as being forgiving (in case there was something that should be forgiven? am i still making sense?).
i loved the kokology books and read it every chance i got in the bookstore. never bought it though (i think there's a version online?). and... some bits of it is rather accurate, regardless of scientific grounding or whatever.

Date: 2010-10-12 04:45 am (UTC)I put the comet tail on the biggest star, though I meant all the stars to be same size, but one I put the tail on was the biggest. Hmmm... oh well, what will be, will be.
