DPP: Going to the movies

Crazy question for today:

What kind of movies do you think that the pilots would like? and of course why?

Also, do you think that they (Kara and Lee) would like the series/movies that Katee and Jamie were (are) in?

I can't see Kara going for the Hornblower series. Too period, too proper.

I think Lee might like Horatio, but I have a feeling he'd find Archie a bit pathetic. Watching Admiral Pellew would remind him a lot of his Dad, in both good and bad ways, and the whole tribunal storyline in particular would probably get him riled up. He'd probably stop watching around the time of Horatio's loveless marriage. Too close to home.

I think Kara would like all of Katee's work - bad ass chicks unite.

I could also see "Devil Rig" as her favorite movie to watch if she had some of Roslin's special cigars - corny dialog, cheesy FX's, and a hot lead ;)

STAR WARS. No really, I totally think they'd love watching Star Wars together.

Lee would probably be into things like Citizen Kane. Kara would love Rocky.

Kara, in my head, likes the 70s classics from Coppola and Scorcese but is a big fan of Quentin Tarantino, and loves Alfonso Cuarón for his aesthetics and the way he depicts relationships. I think she also likes anime, she openly loves Ghost in the Shell, Paprika etc but her secret soft spot is for Studio Ghibli's children's films.

And I always saw Lee as a big fan of films that aren't in English/need subtitles, he's someone who loves to check film festival schedules to see what they're showing. He's also kind of a fan of the other Coppola (Sofia).

And of course, like dramaturgca said, they both ADORE Star Wars (but they hate the prequels and refuse to acknowledge their existence). And they had a lot of fun at The Avengers.

oh, and I think they would both be into Sergio Leone's Dollars trilogy as well, Kara appreciates a good soundtrack.

pretty sure they both love cheesy horror movies and all the pretext for surprise startled-out-of-your-wits cuddling :)
