We had more bingos yesterday for both the Pre-mini and Mini/S1 cards!

Miniseries/S1
Seeing is Believing by [livejournal.com profile] taragel [NC-17]
On the Ocean of Life by [livejournal.com profile] n_e_star [PG-13]
Keep the Home Fires Burning by [livejournal.com profile] n_e_star [PG-13]
Conversations of All Types by [livejournal.com profile] angelicalangie [PG]

Pre-Mini
Aftermath by [livejournal.com profile] plaid_slytherin [PG]

The Pre-Mini, Miniseries and Season 1 cards are still open for bingos, although they won't be counted towards a banner any longer. Today's cards are open and you can still win a banner for the most drabbles written today! <3

The Twist
The basic bingo rules still apply and the twist remains in effect. That means for today's cards, you may not use any scene set in Season 2. Any other season/time period and AU are welcome.

Since I am a little swamped, banners for the most drabbles per day will be awarded at the end of the week, as will the jackpot prize and any blackout prizes earned for blackouts. Thanks!

(I will be out for a few hours this morning, so answering questions might be delayed.)

I want to say I am getting somewhere with the muse tonight, but he/he/it hates me - sorry.

The best I have is 1 drabble, if you want it, I will post it.

Decisions, explosion, PG
He thought it was going to be some great explosion. Shock and aw as they say. In the end Lee Adama packs up his flight suit, hangs up his dress blues and fades away from the fleet without even a fight with his father.

But he can’t stay away from the airfield, from watching the planes like he did as a kids. Memories of the moment he decided he was going to fly drawing him to place of peace he never knew when he was actually flying.

With a quiet smile Lee turns the ignition and goes for a drink.

The News, Cottle, PG
She’s numb. Numb from her tingling fingers up the arm that’s never going to be strong enough. No matter how much physical therapy. The words flow in and out her ears.

The only words that stick You won’t fly again. Ever.

Kara Thrace’s nothing if she isn’t Starbuck. It’s unfair.

Worse than that he’s sorry. He’s sorry? He’s sorry?

Kara fells the numbness she had found such comfort in moments before crumbling bit by bit, muscle by muscle until she’s shoving, flying out of Cottle’s office. She doesn’t stop until she feels the air on her face, drying her tears.

Fingers, KISS SPACE, PG
It’s not the way his tongue slide into her mouth. Or the way he sucks on her skin at the base of her neck. Or ever the way he blows across her skin when he sighs.

Kara is so turned on by those things that if Lee did nothing else it would be good enough for her.

No, it’s when he takes her hand, the one that took her out of sky, and smiles. When Lee lifts her fingers and kisses each one, holding her eyes the whole time.

Those kisses are the ones that make her love being grounded.

The Destination, road map, PG-13
They’ve spent every night together for the last week, but it’s not until the night they fall asleep without having sex that the panic sets in. Staring wide-eyed at the ceiling, Kara hears Lee humming in the shower. She doesn’t know how she got here, in his t-shirt, all frakking cozy. She doesn’t even own the map for this frakking journey.

Then she smells the coffee wafting from the kitchen. Lee remembers the little things. And those little things make her smile. So she swings her leg out of the bed and wonders if they have time for a quickly.

Unexpected Happiness, champagne, PG
Sometimes he thinks it funny two ex-pilots in a funky downtown loft balancing shifting schedules and student loans. Lee almost died when Kara didn’t run when he quit working for law school, but he wouldn’t have dreamed of leaving when she hesitantly mentioned art school.

And they fight but those mean words mean for great make up sex and long talks wrapped in each others arms.

So on the night like this, Lee takes a moment to pop open a nice bottle of champagne and toasts his girl, still broken and angry but now his artist glowing in the moonlight.

These are beautiful! You have told a full story in 500 words. I love the sadness that is there throughout the fic but also a sense of beginning. Wonderful job!

Thanks. It did turn out kind of sad but sweet and real. The Destination is probably my favorite too. Best use of prompt anyway. ;)

Thank you. I was a bit surprised how full it turned out. I was sure there was going to be a big hole in it somewhere. :D

I love your take on pilots not being, well, pilots any more (in one sense, lol). But my favourite thing about this is that you gave them a chance at a real relationship, even with Kara freaking out about not knowing how to be in one - that was my favourite drabble.

Thanks. I didn't mean to go out of order. I write down the last two flipped, and left the first two backwards so it looked more on purpose. hee.

I really liked this. Like everyone I really enjoyed Destination. They all fit together so well and it's so nice to think of them living this life. Even if it wasn't totally how they planned.
