Jul. 21st, 2011 08:59 amLots and lots of bingos yesterday! Bravo everyone! Four more people have tied for Most Bingos with two bingos each. (Will anyone win a solo victory with three today? I wonder!!)
I can't count! We do have a winner for Most Bingos for Season 3! Congratulations:

SEASON 4 CARDS

THE TWIST IS STILL IN EFFECT!
None of your drabbles can be set in Season 4 (although I wonder if anyone minds - it is S4, after all).
ETA: As a favor to your tired mod, please number your bingos. My brain would greatly appreciate it! Thanks! :D

Date: 2011-07-21 02:32 pm (UTC)A quite angsty bingo.
Date: 2011-07-21 02:34 pm (UTC)Lee's voice was crackly as the line kept breaking up. Something to do with the atmosphere around the planet.
Kara had spent the last hour pleading with Lee to forgive her for that night, for the way she'd hurt him that morning. Two months of marriage had shown that her marriage was a mistake. She loved Sammy but she wasn't in love with him.
The comms line crackled again and she missed Lee's response. Asked him to repeat. He sounded weary.
"That night Kara. What if it had been Zak?"
She knew when she was fighting a losing battle. Kara let the connection drop.

Nuked planet (G)
In the quiet of the Forests of Kobol now that the fleet was reunited, Kara found her mental block on everything that had happened on Caprica lifting.
Here, next to Lee, companionably listening to the murmured conversations that surrounded them Kara felt the words tumbling out almost despite herself.
"Gods Lee, if you could have seen that nuked planet. Everything that happened there. It was like something out of a nightmare, worse than anyone had imagined..."
As Kara turned to face Lee he reached out a hand and cradled her face. She knew she wouldn't have to say any more. Lee always understood.
--
Frak space (NC-17)
It was definitely unplanned. Lee's relief at Kara's safe return had led him to kiss her, and she had held on to him, unwilling to let him stop, begging for more, reaching for him and Lee had found himself fumbling to get rid of his clothes because he was desperate to feel her. He found himself getting closer to release whenever she moaned with pleasure. With climax it was as if the worlds had righted themselves again.
Despite her exhaustion and the pain radiating from her knee Kara smiled. It had been much less awkward than that time in the Viper.
--
I believe you (G)
Kara knew that she had to talk to Lee about that night with the table.
The coffee here was overpriced and generally dreadful but the lack of alcohol would hopefully stop things being more complicated.
"It was a stupid thing to do. We were drunk. It should never have happened and it can never happen again. I love Zak."
Lee's face was completely unreadable.
Quietly he said "I know. I believe you. I'm being posted to the Atlantia, we need never see each other again."
It's what she wanted, but Kara was left wondering why she felt the bottom of her world had fallen out.
--
Too frakking late (G)
The insistent knocking invaded Lee's sleep. Dee was on duty and it took him a few seconds to realise he needed to answer it. Pissed for having his sleep disturbed he fumbled with the hatch, opening it on Kara.
"Frak, Kara, what are you doing here? It's too frakking late," he spat out. Then he really saw her.
Lee hadn't seen her like this since Scar. He felt the anger of her betrayal that morning on New Caprica melt away.
She was broken.
Pulling her in to the room he wrapped her in a blanket and poured a glass of moonshine.
"Tell me about it."

Date: 2011-07-21 06:42 pm (UTC)Kara's ship lands and she feels the pull of the others so fiercely pushes past the marines. The song's in her head and everywhere she turns, but only one way will lead her to where she needs to be… with the others. She does not know their names yet or their faces but she senses they are just like her.
The music is strumming in her heart and in her gut.
Doors, corridors, ladders… soon she's in the room with them as the music builds to a crescendo.
Tigh.
Tory.
Tyrol.
And Lee.
They and she are the Final Five.

All That Matters - PG
It's the rules of their arrangement; it all that matters – don't tell Sam, don't tell Dee… and so they frak in every silent, unwitting quiet corner they can find. It was part of their problem before being married, that they couldn't get past Zak, now without him they struggle with the choices they've made. Lee knows she could be happy with Sam, just as he could be with Dee – if only it weren't for Kara and if only it weren't for him.
Time and time again they meet in secret to fulfil their darkest dreams, dreams that won't come true.
***
Memorial Wall - PG
It's the early days of the wall, where pictures are bright, not smudged by too many tears or the years of dust and oil from finger prints when he visits to put one up of his mother. They'd a rocky relationship for certain, but mostly she'd been a good mother.
Years later when the wall's coated in filth and grime and some pictures trampled into nothing on the floor, Lee up picks his mother's photograph. As he does, he notices that Kara's has been replaced. He drops his mother's image to caress the face of his lost lover. She's beautiful.
***
(Okay, within s4 but at the end, so I'm fudging it).
Dreilide - PG
Kara watches as Lee calls for her and she knows that he can no longer see her. Warm fingers take both her hands; the Leoben avatar one and her father the other.
He will live his life out in peace, they tell her, always loving you, but knowing that your place was to bring them to this world. Earth.
She jerks away from their touch. The end to her journey felt good, but his pain does not. He won't ever forget her… and she aches for his time spent alone.
To unhearing ears, she whispers 'I love you, Lee Adama.'
***
Co-ordinates - PG
"So, where are we going Kara? The beach? The movies? Which co-ordinates we heading to hon?"
The wind from outside the jeep tickles Zak's words as they race along the freeway in her jeep.
"It's a surprise…"
"Great, my birthday and I'm not spending it in bed with you."
He leans over to kiss her neck, running his tongue along her collar bone. Kara speeds up.
When they arrive, his family shout 'surprise', then lavish him with gifts. Zak and most people are drunk in a few hours. Kara takes Lee's hand and leads him to a bedroom until dawn.

Date: 2011-07-21 07:04 pm (UTC)The last one. I'm fumbling for words because that is just soooo wicked and I really shouldn't like it as much as I do . . . but I do, I really really do.

Date: 2011-07-21 07:31 pm (UTC)"Sorry for eating your Lean Cuisine out of the Staff Fridge, but it's Pilot Bingo, ya know?"
"No Comcast, I did NOT pay my bill this week! It's Pilot Bingo and anything goes!"
I'm expecting this to be a resounding success. :)
Bingo 1
Date: 2011-07-21 08:11 pm (UTC)The Colony, PG
She's a coffee barista and a mechanic by day and a starving artist by night. New York City is one of the few places you can pull that shit off. Of course, she isn't painting every night, and some nights she paints better under the influence of alcohol.
So when The Colony, the bar on her block, gets a new bartender, Kara figures it's as good an excuse as any to grab a drink, or five.
She doesn't mean to take Lee home with her but they talked all night, trying to figure out where they knew each other from.
***
Proof Positive, PG
At first she told herself it was the radiation. Half the squadron was hurling their guts out after going through the star cluster. Then, when she missed her period, she told herself it was the stress of losing pilots and the bullshit symbol on the bullshit temple.
But she couldn't lie her way out of the results picked up during routine bloodwork. The only thing she could do was ask Cottle to run one last test for her. She stood, pacing through sickbay until he showed her the results--it was proof-positive that she was pregnant...
...with Lee Adama's baby.
***
Mutiny, PG
Lee was immediately distressed when he saw the bandage on Kara's stomach. "Let me see."
Kara was immediately irritated.
"Frak. Kara... What happened down there?"
Kara stared out into the rain. "I got shot."
"Did you-- I mean, are you--"
"Lee!" she snapped. "I'm here, I'm fine." And then he got that look on his face like he wasn't about to let it drop. "So how did you spend your summer vacation, Lee?"
A pause. "Well, I led a mutiny," he said, gesturing your surroundings. "And held a gun to Saul Tigh's head."
"Now that I wish I could see."
***
Cancer, PG
" A man isn't a man until he wears the wings of a viper pilot," Lee mocked his father's tone of voice as he crumpled his soda can.
"Yeah, well at least you don't go home to him every night." He looked over to see Kara grimacing. Under her breath, she muttered something about a cancer that needed to be removed.
Lee quirked an eyebrow at her. In the months he'd gotten to know Kara since she moved into the school district, she had never talked about her home life.
"What? It's not like you have the monopoly on bad parents."
***
These are not your men, PG
Day and night don't matter. The passage of time is measured by how strong she gets as she works her body back into shape after a year of laziness. She has to build herself up against whatever torture the cylons have for her.
But there is nothing she could have done to build up a defense against this.
"I've missed you, Kara."
She looks up to see a machine wearing Zak's face smiling from the door to her cell.
She snaps his neck and watches the body drop. At least Lee will never have to know. His heart's broken enough.

Date: 2011-07-21 08:48 pm (UTC)It's 100% proof positive – or that's what Cottle says…
Frak, it's been a months since they well, frakked, but the blood tests prove it. The child's Lee's.
Kara glides a hand over her curved belly, imagining what it's going to be like. Bill happy as a grandfather and Lee proudly handing their child to his proud granddad. It's a beautiful image.
The rain patters on the tent above and the air's cold.
Sam walks in and brushes the drips from his hair. Cottle clears his throat and leaves.
"It's a girl Sam. A girl, she's gonna be perfect and ours."
***
The Sun - PG
Sam's mind is somewhere else as the fleet approaches the sun; it's with Kara, Lee and Dee on another sunlit day on another world. He knew she loved him but from the first he knew he had competition. Not that he considered it competition, for in loving Kara for who she was, he loved her for all her faults and all the things she needed to survive. He hadn't liked it, but love and like were different things.
He'd felt sorry for Dee though when Kara had married him, for he'd known that Lee would react by marrying Dee.
***
I Will Hit a Cripple - PG
Kara's still using her sticks. He knows that brush with death scared her, but she's stronger than that and should be recovered. She just needs a push.
Lee deflects Helo's punch then blocks the return before he flicks a look to where she stands. Helo reads the message and throws another which Lee ducks and rolls, coming up to where she's resting. He kicks her sticks aside and bates her with, "Come on Starbuck… stop being a wimp."
She glares at him, unzips her jacket then limps into the ring.
"So you can only take me as a cripple?"
***
Wine Glass - PG
Kara's lying on the floor with the full glass over her head. Helo's drawing it higher and higher to the 'boos' and 'yays' of the rec room. One foot and she's swallowing convulsively to stop it going down her shirt, then again as he lifts it higher to two foot, three foot and four.
"Starbuck… Starbuck!"
She looks up to Lee and gives him a grin; it spills down her chin and she loses the challenge.
"Bad luck Kara, you get the dead shift on Fri!" Lee pronounces.
"Not yet Apollo. Your turn," she says with a drunken sparkle.

The Rest Isn't Worth a Damn - PG
They're going through some dead pilots stuff, sorting it for the fake hilarity of an auction where they try to celebrate the deceased by spending money on their stuff; it's crass and cold but it's the only way they can cope with the fact that tomorrow it might be them.
She chucks some stuff on the grey sheets of her bed then pins Lee with a look.
"That's it,' she comments, 'Because the rest isn't worth a damn."
He cups her cheek.
"Not to him it wasn't, Kara."
"Yeah, and frak lot of good that's gonna do him now."
