Katee Sackhoff appeared again last night on CSI as Det. Frankie Reed. I would recommend watching the whole episode, but if you just want to see her or watch her parts again here ya go. Frankie definitely has some Starbuck in her.

I watched last night and it reminded me what a shame it was that Katee didn't have Boston's Finest picked up. She was so awesome. And of the course the ep title of Fracked. We get it, Dave & Brad, nudgenudge winkwink.

I originally thought it was a nod to BSG - but it appears to actually be an engineering term. That said someone must have been an original BSG freak to come up with the slang - though they can not cement a spelling for it - whilst ours certainly has been cememented. I did like the line thrown to Willows at one point about not being Erin Brockovich - the actress behind willows was in the movie.

It's actually both a BSG reference and an engineering term. David Weddle & Bradley Thompson were both producers and writers on BSG, and their main emphasis was writing Starbuck-centric stories. It's not a coincedence that they cast Katee as a cop in an episode called Fracked, which I guess comes from Fracturing shale with blasts of water to release natural gas. I did get a kick out of Laurence Fishburne saying "Frack" (misspelled for we shippers) was a science fiction expletive. Too funny!
