DPP: Sporting Times

My love for Jib Jabs are pretty well documented I think, but today I thought we could focus on a particular topic with the help of these two lulzy vids: SPORTS. Aside from their usual boxing, pyramid and running, what kind of sporting fun do you think our pilots (and friends) would really take to?  Is Helo destined to be a basketball star? What would go down at an Adama Family baseball game? (er...take that any way you like...there are helpful knee pads when you're the catcher...just saying. ;)  

Feel free to write something sporting about pilots if you like!

Nice topic though. I always found it interesting in BSG and HP that there was only 1 sport/card game (pyramid, quidditch, triad) in the entire genre. Woulda been cool to see a few more variations.

They aren't loading up for me either.

I imagine they would play all manner of sports. They are very competitive it seems to me.

Whether it be a little one on one on the basketball court. (You can take that anyway you want. :P) Or a touch football game at a "family" picnic. Maybe a stick ball, half ball or wiffle ball or any other variety of baseball you can imagine. :)

I just think they loved to compete. :)

ooh, thanks for the crack & fic recs! i hadn't read these before. i love this topic!

i love reading fic about lee (or others) finding out kara can play pyramid and being surprised somehow. i've seen it worked into a few longer fics - i think there was one (maybe officer's club or another au?) where helo, lee, and kara were playing and lee was getting his ass kicked and helo clued him in (i think). maybe i'll write some. kara being awesome is always fun to read :)

i think an adama family baseball game would be hella cutthroat. everyone trying to get on papadama's good side. oh lordy. :D

Yeah, there's been a lot of pyramid games in fic. I can think of a few where that's where they meet in fact.

Ha, I'd think Roslin would be the one you'd have to watch out for possibly in an Adama family b-ball game. ;)

i think there'd be lots of sibling rivalry between lee, kara, and zak, but i can definitely see roslin as a contender, lol! it's always the quiet, ladylike ones.
