DPP: Pilots As Superheroes!

We've imagined pilots a ton of different ways in AUs, but today I want us to try out a new way (or maybe not even that new, but certainly worth revisiting): Pilots as Superheroes!

I mean, don't they look iconic and superheroic here:

So what would they be like as superheroes, Shipper Nation? Any theories about what superpowers they'd have? Or how they came by them/origin stories? Or how they ended up working together in the first place (cause the only thing better than a superhero is a superhero team)

(And of course, the evils they'd have to face/conquer, because what is a superhero without those? The same goes for their costumes - what would you have them wear when they're in save-the-world mode? Catsuits? Capes?)

Any ideas, people? Put them in the comments! (along with fic, fic recs, gifs, manips, what have you)

(edit: [livejournal.com profile] rachelindeed has written this AWESOME pilots crossover with the Batman 'verse in the comments here, everyone should read it!)

Batman fic amnesty: background

I wrote a Batman ficlet (http://rachelindeed.livejournal.com/13488.html) a while ago with Lee as the original Robin to Bill's Batman and Tigh's Alfred. I had thought I might wind up telling a longer story about how Lee met The Huntress (Kara), a fighter on the wrong side of the law who has spent much of her life hunting down the crooks who killed her parents and whose view of ethics is a lot more flexible than the Batclan's. I don't think I'm ever going to write that adventure, but as it happens I already wrote the ending, which I can share just for fun. All you need to know is that Lee and Kara were working together against the maniacal Two-Face (Romo Lampkin, once a good lawyer who lost his mind when he lost the woman he loved and now acts as a supervillain, killing people with his trademark silver pen, fondling his imaginary cat and flipping a coin to decide the fate of his victims). Lee almost dies in the fight, but between Kara and Batman (Bill), he is saved, and is now in the Batcave, recovering...
