International Rewatch - s03e09 - Unfinished Bussiness

I actually like the little 'paper shortage' joke here, I guess you have to laugh at something when you're desperate.

great, Baltar is being smarmy and desperate again.

I really think that when Kara confronted Enzo, she didn't think she'd find out anything bad about Kat, she just wanted him to leave her pilot alone.

And Kara looks simultaneously stony and heartbroken here, when she's listening to Kat's story.

Poor Kat, that little noise she makes like she's about to start crying is just heartbreaking.

and Kara is projecting just a tiny bit, methinks. just a bit.

The Hybrid is sort of interesting, even if she speaks too fast and too much gibberish for me to understand her.

I never knew Hera was referred to as 'cow-eyed'.

and isn't Hera the Greek name for her, while Jupiter is Roman? But then this isn't our Earth so I guess that's ok.

well, they mixed up Greek and Roman half of the time. and yes, it's not our Earth so... IDEK. But, no, I never heard that expression before. I was under the impression that Hera was the wife (or one of the wives) of Zeus.

oh nooooooo Kat, hair loss is not when you should be thinking of willingly going to die by radiation.

she makes me cry here. she is doing this knowing what comes next.

Poor girl, an empty stomach is NOT when you should decide to go kill yourself from radiation poisoning :(

I love that shot of all the pilots walking out towards the Raptors. But is that Helo behind Kat, she stole his badge didn't she?!

poor, poor Kat, she's taking the loss of the ships so personally.

I like how worried Felix looks for Kat

by that point all of them were worried but Felix is such a softy sometimes :)

I love Felix's little exhale of relief there when she makes it.

I love how proud Kara looks, when Kat makes it out of the Raptor. Just like a proud mom.

They are like mom and dad here.... both of them: proud and concerned.

Sorry for not saying more - I cried my eyes out during these scenes.

and I love that it's Lee who first notices that something is wrong with her, just before she takes that tumble.

oh, Kat.....she deserved that round of applause right there. even if what came afterwards was sad :(

It's just destroying me - AGAIN - to watch Kara's face.

I don't know how Katee manages to have three different expressions in the same second.

and I love the hand Bill places on Kara's shoulder when she comes out of the sickbay

I love it a little bit that Adama can speechify so naturally, he doesn't even think of it as a speech most likely.

yes, that is a talent that most likely he got from his father and didn't liked it so much... idk why nut that sounds familiar for Adamas :)

poor Kat, when she cries it's so sad. :(

Can't help but feel for her here.

In a way, Kara's handing her the pills was a mercy, it can't be easy to die of radiation poisoning. And she probably needed the relief.

I totally forgot that. But it was such a sweet gesture from her - one soldier to another. Sort of like the "I do you, you do me"

I do like that Kara was the one to pin her to the memorial wall

and that LEE IS THERE. (**cries**)

finally, FINALLY some acknowledgment of what happened in UB, I was afraid it was going to be too much of a slow burn afterwards.

in a way Kara was the only one who could have done it. she was the one who made Kat be what she was in the end. All of them had their influence (Adama, Lee, Hotdog and the rest) but Kara was her role-model (?).

also, can I just say that I love Kat's Sacrifice theme from this episode? Very appropriate.

all the music in this series is great but sometimes is just perfect.

I know Kat could be annoying, but I'll miss her.

It felt like everything went downhill for the characters we love most after this :(

well, almost everything.... don't kill me but I'm the crazy one who likes politician!Lee. I would have liked him better with Kara by his side but that's another story.

but i'm with you on the missing Kat part.
