So, here's a thought. I know we all love the chemistry Jamie and Katee bring to Lee and Kara. But what if things were different? What other actors do think could have handled those parts? Your choice, anyone past or present. Katherine Hepburn as Starbuck? Nathan Fillion as Apollo? You tell me!

This is tough. After two actors play characters so well, it's hard to imagine anyone else being these roles. I'll have to think about this.

I think maybe Stephen Caffrey, who did Lt. Myron Goldman in Tour of Duty might have pulled it off. The chars were very similar, well-educated, smart, thoughtful young officer getting thrown into the thick of it, daddy issues (including senior military father and choice of career), loss of lady to enemy action, to name some of them. Plus Stephen's physical appearance was not all that unlike Jamie's.

I'd actually recommend the series for anyone who liked the grittiness of BSG.

tour of duty is my fave tv series... been looking for this show for years.. and last year i finally able to buy the whole series =)and as a bonus with english subtitle!!!! it's a blessing for someone that her native language is not english :-P

I'm probably going to incite rage by saying this, but I keep coming back to the idea of Angelina Jolie. I know the Lara Croft images isn't really right, but when I think of her early movies, like Girl Interrupted I think she'd be able to carry off that blend of cockiness/craziness/vulnerablity we associate with Kara. You'd just have to somehow switch off the man-eater image that tends to follow Angelina every where she goes.
