DPP: Love and Angst in Six Words

Whew! I'm feeling a little flushed over here from all of the UST talk in yesterday's post about eyefrakking. *fans self*

For today, I'm stealing an idea that's popped up in various comms, most recently over at [livejournal.com profile] bsg_kink. It's the SIX WORD FIC! Post your own six word fic or continue the idea of a fellow shipper. I fail at writing six word fic, but I'll post a few phrases in comments to get you started. (If you want to see some great examples of six word fics, check out this link given to me by the lovely [livejournal.com profile] cynicalshadows.)

Here is some yummy eye candy for inspiration.

She towards him, her grin malicious.

"Who needs a rack?" he replied.

[identity profile] ecstaticdance.livejournal.com 2010-04-06 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
Eying him, walking forward, wet already.

[identity profile] amaliak.livejournal.com 2010-04-06 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
His answer was a sad kiss.

Frak! No pigeon pie for dinner.

[identity profile] amaliak.livejournal.com 2010-04-06 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
He licked his lips in anticipation.

[identity profile] amaliak.livejournal.com 2010-04-06 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
Drinking was now the only option.

[identity profile] sparklegirl79.livejournal.com 2010-04-06 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
He watched her walk away... again.

[identity profile] sparklegirl79.livejournal.com 2010-04-06 06:21 am (UTC)(link)
Licking her taste from his lips.

[identity profile] lyras.livejournal.com 2010-04-06 08:32 am (UTC)(link)
When he turned, she was gone.

Sorry, sorry, sorry! *thinks*

She grinned. He sighed. They touched.

and

He watched her glancing at him.

and

Kara/Lee: defining unresolved sexual tension.

Great idea for a post! :)

Ooh, I like that one!

[identity profile] lyras.livejournal.com 2010-04-06 09:55 am (UTC)(link)
Never were truer words spoken!

[identity profile] ninjamonkey73.livejournal.com 2010-04-06 11:18 am (UTC)(link)
So many times, he failed himself.

[identity profile] ninjamonkey73.livejournal.com 2010-04-06 11:21 am (UTC)(link)
Kara reached, resolved, held Lee tight.

No poof. They lived happily everafter.

[identity profile] rdave1.livejournal.com 2010-04-06 12:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Missed opportunities was their specialty.

[identity profile] rdave1.livejournal.com 2010-04-06 12:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Words! Thier eyes do the talking.

A touch, a look, some eyefrakking.

OK, clearly I went overboard...

Hi, everyone. Once I started it was hard to stop, so I've got a bit of a six-word epic going on here. I hope you don't mind...

She craved remembrance more than anything.
Dreaded losing one moment to oblivion.
Be careful what you wish for.
Zak died; she could never forget.
Oblivion was sweet, but ultimately unsustainable.
She had a job to do.
On Galactica, she found a home.
Soon enough, the worlds ended. Typical.
Her almost-brother almost died, too.
That would have sucked beyond belief.
Not that she’d tell him so.
They always talked; they sometimes listened.
They learned to hear words unspoken.
Touching was dangerous, they both knew.
They touched anyway, like casual dares.
They never forgot themselves, their history.
They tried to move on. Right.
Sam stayed behind; her promise rankled.
Memories always messed up her head.
She found him – let Lee watch.
Should have known how that’d end.
Lee tried to make her see.
She saw too much, too clear.
So did he; he always had.
It would never work, she decided.
Time to make her final choice.
She gained wings and lost flight.
Lost Lee, just like she’d planned.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, it sucked beyond belief.
Not that she’d tell him so.
She hit him a lot, instead.
Being Lee, he got the message.
They tried again – what a disaster.
Time to stop hurting each other.
They decided to be friends again.
She died; he couldn’t believe it.
She came back; he believed that.
They loved each other openly, now.
Not in passion, but in peace.
They had no sense of future.
They didn’t understand themselves, didn’t try.
They just were; alive and together.
That didn’t change when she left.
Oblivion was not what awaited them.
Memories lived, so strong and bittersweet.
“Goodbye, Kara. You won’t be forgotten.”
He knew this wasn’t the end.
