DPP: Your K/L Origin Story

Hey guys! I'm PS and I'll be doing the DPPs for this week. I guess I'm still kind of new to K/L, so I thought I'd start out with something basic. It might be good for the old hands to look back at this again and us newbies can share for the first time.

How did you first get into BSG? Who were you drawn to first? When did you start shipping Kara/Lee? How did you get over to the fandom and this corner of it? What was the first fic you read or wrote? Reminisce howevermuch you'd like. :)

Then you will be glad to know that I signed up with that plot for the het_bigbang challenge. Now, that means you will have to wait until the end of August to read it, but there will be at lest 10,000 words and it will be complete.
