All right, kids, it's lovefest time. So dust off those meme trousers and come on out and FEEL THE LOVE. Today is all about the silly light frothy fun. This is a lovefest/get-to-know-you/friending meme all wrapped into one so don't be shy!

Here's how it works:

1. Put your tags in the box by posting a comment saying "Will you be my Neighbor?"   Or whatever. I just enjoy the Mr. Rogers reference.

2. You must interview the person who posted ABOVE YOU in their comment thread.

3. You must ask them three questions:

     One (somewhat) personal (but not too personal, as this is, after all the internets, so no asking for identifying information-- ie, name, address, location, etc. Just more generic personal stuff.)
     One fannish (anything fandom or pilots-related), and
     One weird/silly/crazy (just let loose and have fun with this one).

Innibis: 1 - This is a complicated one. In many ways what I currently do is a dream job; challenging, constantly changing, problem solving, a ton of responsibility
1 - for all my love of working on my own, i really love managing people and working intensively with a team
1 - so i guess my dream job would be owning my own business
1 - I mean I also want to be a Broadway Singer, an astrophysicist, an astronaut and a writer

1) Hmmm, somewhat personal question. Okay: do you have any tattoos, and if so, what are they? If not, do you think about getting any, and if so, what are they?

2) Fannish: Who are your favorite major and minor characters on BSG and why? Alternatively, since I don't remember your answers, you could say who you'd frak/ marry/ toss off a mountain... :D

3) Silly: Hmm, I am still waking up, so this is not as silly as you might want... If someone paid for your airfare and travel expenses anywhere in the world, where would you go, and why?

And this is when I say "won't you be my neighbor," yes? I could even put on a cardigan and change my shoes for the questions!

I'm in. Hit me! Lightly though, I'm fragile.

1. OMG! I HATE, HATE, HATE to cook so I can't even imagine it at the end of a long day. The truth is that i call my husband and MAKE him pick up food on the way home. However, i do LOVE to bake so my biggest comfort food is cookie batter. I just make the batter and eat it. I have given this awful habit to my kids too! We will probably all die of salmonella over the holidays.
2. Lee, I think the poor guy went off alone for a long time but probably ran into some people and eventually settled down, possibly even fell into another relationship but he NEVER had true love again and there was always a part of him that was empty.
3. Well, I don't think i have much of Lee in me except for a very strong moral code. NOT that i'm so moral, i just REALLY stand up for what i believe, no matter the consequences. I also think i was pretty badass like Kara in the sense that my mouth got me in lots of trouble. I wasn't at all damaged like either of them so i never had such major self-destructive tendencies. Also, while i had (I'm older now) a bit of a mean streak, it was NEVER as awful as them.

1) Hmmm wow. I don't know! I've never thought about this! It would be so much easier if it was 3 albums. Hmmmm. Maybe "Sandstorm" by Darude, "Kind of Blue" by Miles Davis, and the opening track of "Koyaanisqatsi" by Philip Glass. What are your two? I feel like anything with words would eventually get annoying.

2) I have a lot of friends who love BSG, so I checked it out, and the fandom is awesome! I love AU and pre-mini fic especially, since it spins out the story longer. I also love that the characters are adults, and since I'm a year younger than Katee, it's fun to imagine my role in the BSG world. What's your story on this?

3) Oh my, the craziest? That's a tough one. I've done a lot of crazy things. Here are a few that I'll admit: moved to Washington, DC without a job lined up; climbed up and rappelled down a waterfall while barefoot; skinny-dipped in the Caribbean; danced on the tables at a gay bar in the French Quarter in New Orleans. Do you want to share any fun stories?

#1- Tattoos.

I have two. Both on my back. They seemed like a fun idea at the time. (I know, I know, it's so tramp-stampish of me, but believe me when I tell you that it was way before it got to be the drunk co-ed thing to do.) What are they? Chinese symbols. Both of them. (And yeah, see my tramp-stamp comment above-- but seriously, I was also painting walls beige WAY before it became the new white. What can I say? I'm ahead of the trend. ; P) One symbol means "truth" and the other means "to grieve." Pretty self-explanatory on both counts.

Will I get more? Maybe. I dunno. Haven't felt the urge in a while. I once thought about having a string of symbols running all the way down my spine b/c I thought it would look cool. But then I'd have to think of what they should be. And there's always that awkward potential they could turn into to some really weird sentence. So yeah. Jury's still out on that one.

But really, when it comes to tattoos, I have kind of a "Set it and forget it" mentality. And I always ascribe to the philosophy that if you're gonna get inked, they shouldn't be in place where they show if you're in a meeting, and your grandma shouldn't be able to spot them if you're sitting next to her in church. So I stay away from the arms and legs for that reason.

#2 - BSG

COTTLE!I mean really, who doesn't love him? I have the biggest crush on that man. And I never got around to doing the frak/marry/off a cliff thing...

Lee (i would put a ring on it, but i suspect he'd be a LOT of work)
Kara (see above)
Kendra, Cain, Laura (far too destructive and meglomanical for a long-term relationship, and maybe it's just the slash phase I seem to be going through, but yes on all counts)
Romo (i love him so. not even sine qua non can shut down my love.)

Helo (he's such a loyal little puppy)
Zak (probably the best marriage material the Adama family has to offer, imo)
Simon (model #4-- is that right?) He's so adorable. And a doctor. And who doesn't want to bring home a doctor? **channels my mother** ;P

Papadama (but only at times, especially when there's white paint and/or toothpaste involved)

I'm not much of a traveler per se, but I adore a good vacation home. Here are my current fantasy picks:

You obviously don't read my blog! Also, I'm older than EVERYONE in this community so I'm in mom mode around here

1. Ack, I can't say ever, people do nice things for me all the time...my SO agreed to move to a different city so I could have a better job? That was pretty flipping generous.

2. 'Downloaded' is the episode that I recommend when I'm trying to hook someone on the series - Boomer and Caprica holding hands and making an alliance that is going to change worlds. Oddly, I've never written anything about that.

3. No consequences? At all? Probably make some of my more controversial opinions publicly known. :)

Dancing in the Moonlight by King Crimson and Whiter Shade of Pale by Procol Harem are the two. The third waffles between Creep by Radiohead and Bittersweet Symphony by I'm having a blank moment and can't remember.

I think that I just wanted to feel that irresistible feeling of falling in love again and something in BSG just hooked me and I couldn't escape. BSG is my own personal maelstrom.

Craziest? Hmmm...sooo many

Soooooooo many to choose from...I was wild

1) My parent's backyard. My mother's garden is unrivaled IMO. Plus an in-ground pool and privacy fence and lots of nooks and games and hammocks and everything about it is just gorgeous, and tranquil, and home and there's no where else that makes me feel more peaceful and loved.

B) Kara's - "Are you sure I'm what you want?" in UB cuz I really think that single line explains ALL her internal conflicts over the course of the entire show. It breaks me. BREAKS ME I TELL YOU!

Lee's - "Especially you." in Six of One brig scene. It's just so honest. He doesn't try to hide anything from her there. Nope, he's just straight up "You are my kryptonite, Kara." I mean, I know that he did actually say no to her once in TAB but not really, not in his heart. *sob*

And they've so got me pegged with the flight one.
