winegums Bingo #1

I kind of busted the character limit, so the last drabble will be in the reply to this:

Kara looked at the unconscious stranger, her brow furrowed, before prodding him with the tip of her boot.

"Looks alive."

Beside her, Lee grinned as he finished reloading his sidearm.

"Way you went at him, I'm surprised, Starbuck. And if you want to keep him that way, I'd suggest getting that bow tie off his neck, he could choke."

"You know, if he's a Cylon, we're better off letting him choke."

Just then, the stranger stirred, opened his eyes, and sat up.

"Oh, dear. 150,000 years and I still get humans." Lee and Kara blinked, nonplussed."I don't suppose you could take me to your leader, could you? Or to the nearest blue telephone box, if you've found one?"

Lee raised an eyebrow at Kara. "Figure this one's a Cylon, Lieutenant?"

She smirked, pulling the man up by the neck of his tweed jacket before testing the restraints on his wrists. "Yeah, I figured. Probably one of the crazier models, too."

"Kara, there's no possible way this is true."

She kept her gaze fixed on the screen, resolutely ignoring him as she ran through the list of names on it.

He looked at her again, eyes impossibly blue in the ray of sunlight that slanted across his face.

"Lee, the kids who survived the...." she paused, "incident...they swore to it. We owe it to them to look into it."

"But still, telekinesis, Kara?"

"I know this isn't Carrie, but what happened to thinking out of the box?"

"Some days, I could swear you live there."

"Think you're done yet?" Kara's only response to the bartender's surly question was to down yet another shot of the house rotgut, slouching in her chair as she slammed the glass back down on their table.

"She'll be done when she's done." Lee looked over at her, then back at the bartender, whose attention was now fixed on a young man - a teenager, by the look of him - accompanied by two droids. He idly wondered what a kid that age was doing here, before a soft weight settling against his shoulder distracted him.

"Kara?" She'd moved across to his side of the table and, in a move that left him suddenly short of breath, draped her legs across his. "I think we should-"

She moved even closer, her lips level with his ear. "Shut up, Lee."

"Kara, we -"

"Don't get to become Viper pilots every day." She nipped at his earlobe, tugging it between her teeth. "And here you are, not even paying attention." Precisely two heartbeats passed before Lee gave up the fight against his baser instincts and sealed his best friend's mouth with his own, his hands sliding under her tanks as her fingers tangled in his hair.

They kissed their way through the next half hour and a minor bar brawl (Kara grumbled at the thought that she'd missed out on seeing an old man use an actual lightsabre to whip a troublemaker's arm off, until Lee decided to show her again just what had distracted her the first time around), and by the time the bartender finally settled their tab, he'd decided it was too bad pilot qualification tests hadn't been years ago.

"John, I thought you were under orders to stay in the house." Lee raked a hand through his hair in frustration, wishing someone could talk sense into the kid.

"Well, I was going stir-crazy, and Mom wouldn't -"

"Yeah, she wouldn't." Kara cut him off, every syllable vibrating with annoyance. Gods knew the boy was supposed to be the future leader of their resistance, but he was impossible sometimes. "Ever occur to you there's a good reason for that?"

"Whatever." He pouted, and Kara dragged Lee out into the hallway.

"Lee, he's impossible."

He pulled her closer, feeling her heartbeat against his own. "He's a kid, Kara."

"It sucks." She exhaled, resting her forehead against his shoulder. "But he's got to grow up, and too soon."
